Bring the Noise

The problem we have is that we don’t have a song that supporters can get stuck into for a lengthy rousing rendition. Liverpool & West Ham for example, can sing their “anthems” for quite a long time - they’re not fast tempos & everyone can join in which makes it loud & long. Blue Moon is over before everyone is ready to sing. The rest of our songs are equally brief. The best songs are parodies of well known hits which are slow & easy to sing.

Haven’t got an answer but I envy Dippers adoption of the Pacemakers hit (can’t bear to quote it on here!!)

Singing the blues can go on forever and it keeps at a slow pace rather then everything else that increases in speed that much you end up not able to breathe.

It does but the lyrics are repetitive. I’d love a song that has a couple of verses & rousing chorus
Has to be short and simple otherwise it'll die before it leaves the singing bits & too many words is a killer for occasional singers eg you thought you'd win the League, Edin Decko etc not necessarily suggesting those songs but 3/4 of our fan base wouldn't have a clue.

Watched the whole 90 minutes back tonight and the intensity of the atmosphere was brilliant.

Not much singing to be honest. We’ve had anything like two dozen better singing atmosphere than that, easily.

Singing from us- a bit to start the game, a bit after the first goal and the most after our second goal.

Singing from them- you couldn’t hear them at the game and could only hear them singing the Firmino song after the goal watching it back and that was it.

But it was the intensity of the noise that was impressive. The boos, jeers, cheers for their possession and mistakes. The reaction to ref decisions, attacks, “go on”s, cheers for tackles etc. were all very good. Definitely the best for that since the 2012 title run-in derby.
When it wants to, the atmosphere at the Etihad can be amazing.
