There's something about the first leg that makes it unattractive, like you're leaving at half time. Think they should make these one-off games, though with a replay possible.

ha ha yes a good analogy. Fingers crossed its put to bed tomorrow, like we did against West Ham a couple of years back

Bravo
Walker
Tosin
Mangala
Danilo
Yaya
Gundogan
KDB
Bernardo
Aguero
Diaz

This is enough to give us a big lead so we can rest key players and give match time for the likes of Diaz, Zinchenko and Foden in the second leg

The usual attendance posts on here , worried about what the media , Rags and every other Tom,Dick and Harry are going to say about our empty seats , we are one of the best supported clubs in the world , the fixture schedule and the expense of xmas always affects attendances in January at most football clubs , to start digging out our supporters when the majority have showed immense loyalty over the years is churlish . A few negative headlines and jealousy/envy from opposing supporters is a small price to pay fo the football we are witnessing and future our club is building. Maybe some of our supporters need to grow a thicker skin , and ignore the Rag / Dipper bile that is thrown our way.

Minus the risk of injuries, a weak team is a false economy.

A close to full strength side has the opportunity to kill the tie tomorrow. A weakened team will still likely win but will more likely have to work harder across both legs.

Go big-ish, get it won comfortably and give key players a rest in the 2nd leg.

That's exactly what I would do, too, and I think he will. I haven't looked what games we have around the second leg, but if we go into that one without a good advantage we have to put out a strong team there too, and that is getting into Champions League time.

He will unquestionably play De Bruyne, Walker and Delph so that gives us some indication.

Maybe all 20k of them have, but i bet they'll be after a wembley ticket if we get there
It's amazing that people will be more interested in a Cup Final at Wembley against Chelsea than want to watch a first leg against Bristol City, isn't it? Incredible.

It doesn't matter why people decide not to go and it shouldn't rile fellow blues. Not everyone can afford to go so often is, as you are alluding probably a big factor.
I find it tremendously disappointing to sit in a ground that is half-empty. Perhaps discourages the players too.

Overall our crowds have been good this season. probably an accumulation of reasons, but it definitely discourages me when I am sat in my seat looking around at an empty stadium. Support does matter, or why do we bother. I get that the League Cup is the last of our priorities but we have an unprecedented opportunity here. I don't want to miss any home games this season. Fortunately I'm in Manchester so travel is not an issue.

Lets face it football is a dear do .it ok saying tickets are only £15-£20 or whatever but it all the other add ons that soon mount up plus with the amount of games weve played recently the cost begins to stack up .I think it to much to expect a full house for the fa cup against Burnley then 3 days later expect another full house.
No doubt the pundits who have never paid for a ticket in there life will have somet to say but fu*k em.our crowds have been great for the past few years somthing our detractors fail to mention
You're right. People are picking and choosing between the two, or a large number are and with one being a weekend and a Premiership club, easy decision.

Pray tell when you've sat in your seat & looked round at an empty stadium ?

Realistically not everyone can afford to go to all the cup games and add to that the problems getting to and from the ground especially after night games.
Personally I can't wait to see us play again...but then again I'm lucky in the respect my kids are grown up and I live locally but still it's a pain getting back to Ashton on the fucking tram.
Hopefully people might buy tickets today and boost the attendance but who gives a fuck how many are there as long as we win.
Being relocated from SS3 to SS1 at least makes it easier to get out of the ground...always a bonus lol
