Britain is the only way a world cup will come here.

Keane would get no where near the Britain squad because he's not British.
If Shay can play for Britain then so can Alan. Let's get Messi while we're at it!

yes i know that pal but surely if wales, scotland and northen ireland joined in with england to make said GB team then ROI wouldn't of want to be left out of it.

Are you suggesting Republic of Ireland join Great Britain?!
Dear Lord we would have Civil War on our hands in the name of a World Cup bid! lol
We should just ask Qatar if they want to become part of England and share a few games!

Fair enough haha :)

If it makes you feel better (i.e. it's not us, it's them), go with it.

Heaven forbid Russia might be a more attractive proposition, or that FIFA thought it reasonable to look east of the Vistula.

What would football gain if the WC was held in Blighty? NOTHING. Think about what Blatter said about the game, think of the dominance of the English (league) game throughout the world. Obviously, though, it's all down to brown envelopes and the promise of Yulia from Novgorod.

I mean, how could any foreign twat be repelled by the likes of you and good old British decency? Clearly there's something wrong with them.

We didn't get it because Johnny Foreigner hates us (met a lot of them have you? No.), we didn't get it because in the opinion of FIFA the good of the game will be best served otherwise.

You really believe Russia and Qatar got the world cup because its serves the game. I want to live in your world full of roses and lovliness

Why in the name of God would anyone from the REPUBLIC of Ireland, WANT to come and play for a British team, I know we've a question of giving up our soverignty over here because of the bail out but for the love of God like, this isn't the 1920s, which by the sound of it, is where you're trying to drag us to. It'd never happen, no matter how drunk anyone was.
And here was I thinking you'd have a hard enough problem getting the NI lads to agree to play.
