Britain's most historic towns

According to Google, Colchester is the oldest and therefore the most historic town in the UK. I’ve never been but in my retirement I’d like to do a proper tour of all these old towns like Chichester, Cambridge, Salisbury, Kings Lynn, Stratford Upon Avon etc. There’s so many wonderful places in England alone that it’d be impossible to do it justice in a lifetime as well as fitting in holidays abroad.

There are so many beautiful old towns and villages in the Country

Winchester was in my Sales area when I lived back there, beautiful town, Salisbury too
There aren’t half some shit hole garrison towns in Hampshire.
