According to Google, Colchester is the oldest and therefore the most historic town in the UK. I’ve never been but in my retirement I’d like to do a proper tour of all these old towns like Chichester, Cambridge, Salisbury, Kings Lynn, Stratford Upon Avon etc. There’s so many wonderful places in England alone that it’d be impossible to do it justice in a lifetime as well as fitting in holidays abroad.

Spent a lot of time in Chichester, Winchester, Cambridge, Wells, Canterbury, Oxford, Chester, Salisbury, York etc etc. All have their merits, quirks and beauty.

All well worth a visit.

There is so much beauty in this country rarely touched by the great unwashed. From the New Forest right up to Bamburgh.

No shit, I went to several of them, can't remember the names, around Andover I think. Some seriously bad places
