Britain's Ruling Elite

Re: Britains Ruling Elite

I would love to know what they teach these wannabe heads of state that can't be/ isn't taught in regular schools and universities?

There must be something of substance they have that others do not? Is it just a state of mind?

Once we have that identified and passed on successfully, then get them all up against the wall comrades :)

Its time to scrap all this outdated old school tie shite that goes on in the UK, start by getting rid of the Royals, Earls, Lords, Duke's, all that outdated class drenched bollocks

Its all outmoded and all holding the country back

and dont tell me the Queen brings in tourists, Paris is the the No 1 tourist city in the world, and no Royals to be seen.
If you think the same thing doesn't go on in Australia, you're deluded.
Just replace Sydney,Melbourne Universities for Oxbridge and you get the idea;if you remember Toned Abbs has reintroduced hereditary peerages and as for the royals holding the country back. How is it she's the Queen of Australia as well, that holds this country back having it's head of state residing in another hemisphere.

Oz has no Royal family really, we dont pay for them and we have no Duke's earls Viscounts Lords and all that Bollocks or landed gentry and yes I am deluded

I'll tell you what they teach them BLJ:
They teach them self confidence. They teach them resilience. They teach them a work ethic. They teach them to achieve and they teach them in fucking spades! And the difference to us state educated folk is genuinely profound.
Believe it or not. Like it or not that is what they teach them and that is why more often than not they succeed.

I kind of expected that, but there must be a lot more little tricks of the trade, like getting the common folk to clap and cheer whilst being bummed senseless at the same time - that's some real power and influence right there.

In the real world, there are many countries who get along quite nicely without resorting to our closed shop political system, shame we haven't the will to start enlarging our access to decision making to a wider group of clever folks who aren't entrenched in the class system so much.

There is a ruling elite in virtually every country. It is just a bit less visible than it is here. However it is very much there.

Of course, but as a matter of degrees, we are way off where we should be in terms of getting the best people in the top jobs - it's a big country with a lot of talented and smart people in it, and if Boris Johnson is a viable candidate for PM then I know I'm onto something.

BLJ - you could say that about the majority of the top politicians for Labour, Lib Dems & the Tories.
Milliband, Clegg, Cameron et al. I think there is a certain kind of person who is attracted to politics for reasons of power, control and ego amongst others.
The really talented and smart people go on to accumulate great wealth. Then they donate to the above political parties for reasons of power, control & ego. It's 'the system'. It's far from perfect but it is the lesser of any other number of evils.

Bollocks. They don`t succeed, they just become the next generation of same inbred family members to take over. Why do right wingers think they have the copyright on hard work? We all work hard for our wages believe it or not.
