I'm getting a little suicidal thinking about the Ronaldinho will he won't he saga, the implications of Frank going to jail, the looming football season and the lack of transfer activity on City's part. Anyway, being a bit of a golfer and liking a bet on the golf, I thought I'd turn my attention to this week's British Open.

I'm going to put some bets on later this week and am currently favouring:-

Garcia at 10/1 - seems to have banished his putting demons, great shot shaper, undoubted talent

McDowell at 40/1 - good links player, in form and still good odds

Weekley at 100/1 - outsider, won on US tour, good all rounder, very steady

Anybody having a few bets on the British Open? Who do you like the look of etc etc?
