You could ask the same thing about half of London

Don't really want to click a newspaper link. What's he done? (and don't say, "got stabbed")

A teen holidaymaker was fighting for his life last night after a knife attack in Turkey.

Dwayne Ward, 17, was found naked and soaked in blood in a garden in Marmaris by locals after a night out.

He was found at 7.30am having been stabbed 17 times including cuts to the throat, chest, groin, legs and back.

Dwayne, from Middlesbrough, Cleveland, was on holiday with his brother Darren, 32, and their mother.

The two brothers went out together in the Bar Street area on Tuesday night but Darren returned alone to their hotel.

CCTV footage shows Dwayne being grabbed and bundled down an alley by at least two men in the early hours.

A police report revealed Dwayne said: “I was having fun while I was out and I kissed a Turkish girl at the bar I was in.

“I went to another bar and that was when they hit me in the head with a hard object."

He then added: “I don’t remember the rest.”

A doctor is believed to have stabilised him at the scene before paramedics took him to hospital.

His mother said: “Dwayne’s facing another operation. His dad’s flying out of the UK to be with him. I’m too distressed to talk about it.”

Dwayne is being treated at the Marmaris state hospital where his condition was described as critical.

A man named locally as Attila Dincer, a car cleaner, was arrested by police and was being questioned yesterday.

A second man, identified only as Ismail A, aged 24, was later arrested by police investigating the stabbing.

The arrests came after police studied 217 CCTV cameras covering Bar Street and the surrounding areas.

A Foreign Office spokesman said: "We are aware of the case and can confirm that we are aware of the hospitalisation of a British national in Marmaris on June 25.

"We are providing consular assistance."

A bloke I went to school with was stabbed in the leg in the same place a few years ago, and he fits exactly that description.
