I have a wireless router, my Mac has airport (wireless card). The set up goes like this

Cable>Modem>Ethernet cable>Wireless Router

The lights all come on on the router, I enter the network key (it's WEP encoded) and my mac finds the network no problem and connects but when I try to on the internet it doesn't work.

The signal strength is well over 1/2 way so there shouldn't be a problem.

any ideas as to why it won't connect to the internet?

Cheers in advance

Try connecting your ps3 or pc through the router (wired and/or wirelessly) and see if either of them can access web pages, then you'll know whether its the router or your toy computer.

Nearly a month later... I've figured it out and I'm now wireless (and I can watch porn in my bedroom!)

Turns out I just needed to configure the wireless router settings.

Happy days.

Thanks for the help people.
