Bruno Fernandes

Yeah, just feel it’s a lot of pressure on the kid, especially with a £80mil or whatever price. They have 6 players with 10+ G&A so he could just be looking good in a good team.
Is he a striker or false 9/second striker? Because we don’t really use them and why change a winning formula? If he’s going to be playing attacking midfield, I’d rather Foden got the minutes. Plus, Bernardo should be playing there and either Sane or Mahrez on the wings.

That’s assuming we don’t sell any key players. I just feel it’s a lot of variables and tinkering for a young player with one good season under his belt.
I think Felix is more of a false 9 and Bruno is an attacking midfielder like KDB. I've seen a few clips here and there but I've never properly watch Felix, but if all the big clubs in Europe are after him he must have something about him. The club also would be willing to spend big if a player has something special, like we did with Mbappe when he was at Monaco.

We forget, he also suffered a bad knee injury against Everton in the League Cup well before that. He's coming up for 28 and is certainly hitting his prime.

However, when the injuries start coming, they never stop. Ask Vinny.

Mendy is 24 and is another who just plays on the limits of what his body is able to handle.

Before this season, KDB's injury record was perfectly normal.
Kompany was called "Man of glass" from a young age. Mendy's not much different. There really is no comparison.
He got run into the ground last season and his body reacted. The second injury was bad luck.
Not saying that he doesn't need to be a bit more carefull in the future but your doom scenario is very very premature indeed.

What's going on Felix? Is this a simple approach, or is this a more advanced step?

Don't know the specifics, just know that we're gonna take a run at him after the fernandes transfer...apparently! I'm gonna presume it's a lot more complicated though given everyone in the world wants him.

Fair enough. Go get him Txiki :)

Would rather Sterling or Bernardo play there then. Maybe but I still think he looks better because he’s in a strong team. Never heard of Seferovic but he has 1G&A per game. Jonas is 35 and has a goal every other game. Pizzi has 17 assists. Rafa Silva had 5 goals in the past 2 seasons and now has 13. It’s easy to look good when the entire team is performing, but City is a different beast.

Mahrez and Sane can be dropped for a few average games and they’ve been POTY/YPOTY. Don’t know why we should spend a record fee and change a winning formation on a kid with 1 good season.

Happy to be proven wrong but we could get a young striker for cheaper like Werner who consistently gets 20 goals a season.

is this player more of an attacking midfielder, rather than a central midfielder? Pretty ridiculous goals and assists tally if he's the "box to box" type but I wouldn't have thought a central attacking midfielder would've been a priority this summer.

This looks like case where club is determined not to lose a top talent after Mbappe. He plays at a position which we don't have in XI however we are willowi to give a shot.Club doesnt want him to end up at Rags or Dippers

Takes a mean free kick and penalty, brilliant close control and can pick and execute a pass what's not to like.

Hmm maybe, but Mbappe was younger, a striker and had a great CL campaign. Don’t think he’s what we need but again, happy to be proven wrong.

Anyway, I’ve derailed this thread enough. Bruno looks good, great numbers and rumoured to have a 35mil Euro release clause as long as Sporting don’t pay the 5mil economic rights. Get it done.

Buzzing if we get him, but you do have to wonder where this leaves Foden next season. No doubt in the long term picture, but another 25 year old signing in CM is blocking his path, regardless of what people say.

I think Gundogan has to be the one to make way, otherwise Foden is looking at a 28, 27, 25 and 24 year old ahead of him in the pecking order. Obviously there are variables such as Bernardo being viewed predominantly on the RW and KDB's injury issues, but I struggle to see how his game time picks up considerably next season like Pep said it would.

Selling Mahrez or Sane and Bernardo becoming a permanent fixture on the RW could make it work.

Pep was very vocal on the fact that Foden isn't going anywhere on loan, so there is clearly going to be a plan, just struggling to work it out at the moment!

Selling Gundogan, bringing Fernandes in, loaning Foden out for a season, giving Dave his final season and then bringing Foden back would make the most sense to me.

Gundogan will go and sounds like there is a high chance that David Silva goes this summer as well. Sounds like he has asked the club so he can go to Japan and I would imagine the club won’t stand in his way due to his amazing service and loyalty. That would allow foden more game time as well.

Eras end and David will go with the blessings of every City fan worldwide. I imagine Bernardo will put a good word in about the club to anyone who asks. His career is blossoming with us and he has immersed himself in the club, becoming a huge favourite and the heir to David's greatness.

What's all this about?

I guess this signing covers anymore injuries to KDB & will see the end of Gundagun.

Phil will be Dave's reacement after next season.
Felix is the funny one, maybe it's a nudge for Leroy to get his contract signed???
Rodri will be next in line as the Felix deal will go over the whole Summer...
