Welcome to the forum. So if we offer 36, you have to accept it?
Don't think he meant that, he was saying if they reject a bid over €35 mill they have to make a €2 mill payment to the player, but his actual buy out is €100 mill.

Hello all. My first post here.

I'm Portuguese and a Sporting suporter.

Andrew, that is not totally true.
Bruno Fernandes when return to Sporting, sing a new contract but whit the same conditions that the old one.

The release clause is 100M, but yes... he have another cluse in his contract.

If Sporting refuse any offer superior to 35M, Sporting have to pay 2M to Bruno Fernandes.

Sorry mate but that sounds like bollocks!

Hello my friend! Any idea about how reliable these reports are?

Don’t think we can have enough talented midfielders, particularly young players in their early twenties. It takes time to settle into the league, and the rigour of competing on all fronts means injuries and dips in form are inevitable for all midfielders. This season could exact a heavy toll on Fernandinho and Silva, Gundogan may choose to move, and injuries could yet affect de Bruyne next season, too. Players don’t magically remain healthy and in form, so load up the midfield for next season and the year after.

Bernardo seems to be speaking about him in glowing terms! Felix as well? Is he doing txiki’s work for him?

I wonder if this is what pep meant when he said that they would tak with kev in the summer and manage him better in the future? Also like you said gundogan and Silva will both likely be gone in the next two years.

Ndombele/rhodri
Bruno fernandes
De Bruyne
Bernardo
Foden

Would be fantastic options for years to come

So city bid 36, sporting rejects and pays him 2. The bidding continues with 37, 38, 39... When sporting rejects a bid of 50, they'll pay the player 30 altogether. When the bidding reaches 60, they'll owe him 50. If they accept sporting makes 60 - 50 = 10. If sporting accepts 70 they make 0, and after that they'll depart with him at a loss.

Conclusion: the russian figure of 50 seems fair to all parties, unless the contract is more complicated than our portugese friend has understood.

Caveat: I haven't double checked the calculations since my wife is in labour..
