Is Bruno the new Isco?
We put it out that we are not interested ages ago, they just want to write that the rags have beaten us to someone
Is Bruno the new Isco?
We have De Bruyne, Bernardo, Gundogan, Fernandinho, Foden and Zinchenko who can all play the #8 role if Silva needs resting more often or just isn’t playing as well. In an emergency I’m absolutely sure Sterling would easily fit in there as well, even if we played him as a #10 with two holding midfielders as a worst case scenario. However, we need to start planning for Dave's departure now. We also have a potential ban hanging over us too. Phil's time will come, we need a Silva alternative now. Silva was visibly on the wane last season, still brilliant, but not his brilliant best. We need to bed in his replacement now. My only reservation with Fernandes is his 75% passing accuracy which is pretty shit for us nowadays.... :-)
I suppose it's about opinions, but from what I've seen, Bruno would be in the mix to start. Bravo > young English or club trained keeper. Danilo > Cancelo. Mangala isn't in our PL or CL squad in any case.We have De Bruyne, Bernardo, Gundogan, Fernandinho, Foden and Zinchenko who can all play the #8 role if Silva needs resting more often or just isn’t playing as well. Buying a player just because he’s talented and seemingly good value for money is ridiculous logic, 8-10 years ago it might have been a gamble worth taking but not now FFS. We already have 17/18 foreign players, some of them we can’t even get rid of (Bravo, Danilo and Mangala). Adding another who is very good but never likely to be a long term first team regular is just plain daft in the days of limited squad places and FFP when we have no need to gamble.
Have you seen home live or on TV in playing in the Europa League, or even on some YouTube compilation?I suppose it's about opinions, but from what I've seen, Bruno would be in the mix to start. Where there's a will there's a way. I've seen enough of Fernades to suggest he'd be a hit here... Again, this is all my humble personal opinion..
This & nothing moreWe put it out that we are not interested ages ago, they just want to write that the rags have beaten us to someone
Saw him on TV in league, Europa League & that international competition played at the end of the season. He's decent. Very decent.Have you seen home live or on TV in playing in the Europa League, or even on some YouTube compilation?
I've not seen anything of him.
Fair enough. I've read plenty of good things about him, and wasn't Bernardo singing his praises when we were linked with him?Saw him on TV in league, Europa League & that international competition played at the end of the season. He's decent. Very decent.
Ok Pep, whatever you say boss. This thread is worse than the De Ligt, not happening close both!!
Yup. And Bernardo knows a thing or two about decent players. I'd trust his judgement more than any of ours to be honest.Fair enough. I've read plenty of good things about him, and wasn't Bernardo singing his praises when we were linked with him?
And Maguire tooThis thread is worse than the De Ligt, not happening close both!!
Manchester United and Manchester City have been handed a boost in their pursuit of Bruno Fernandes with Sporting Lisbon reportedly closing in on a potential replacement for the 24-year-old midfielder.Be funny if all along none of the top teams were interested in him at all and all these are just Portuguese papers drumming up interest.
Ok Pep, whatever you say boss; )He's unnessesary. We need world class center-back, not him.
