get BSOD when trying to download drivers for Realtek sound card

got a Dell running Win XP

You would help if you would post the exact model, it would be easy to find those drivers on Dell s website.

If you don t know what Model your Notebook is, then install DriverGenius. It will find the drivers for you. Contact TCID bout the software if you need more information where to buy that software.

Thanks mate can get details this evening when at home

tried Dell and the Realtek websites and both times I tried to download drivers it gave me screen

hmmm strange, that happends when you try to install them?

tho when you post the model name i ll post the direct link for the drivers on here.

Here we go, follow the order

1) Install <a class="postlink" href="http://www.dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/19/DriverDetails/DriverFileFormats?c=us&l=en&s=dhs&cs=19&DriverId=R47822" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.dell.com/support/drivers/us/ ... rId=R47822</a>

2) Install <a class="postlink" href="http://www.dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/19/DriverDetails/DriverFileFormats?c=us&l=en&s=dhs&cs=19&DriverId=R94481" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.dell.com/support/drivers/us/ ... rId=R94481</a>

If that doesn t work, try this one.
