BT Sport Commentary...

At least Savage sounds animated and tends to have a point to what he screeches about. He'll also say something's good when it is.

Mills, Fletcher, Provan just moan.

I agree about Nevin - he's usually straight-talking.

Mills was disgraceful last night and seemed hell bent on shit stirring about Kompany not playing and making a drama out of it. Any given chance to have a dig and he grabs it, then milks the fuck out of it. As the co-commentator, ex pro type person, he should talk about the action and keep his moaning to himself. We talk a lot on this forum about agendas, this bloke clearly has one. I was willing a blue at home to text someone in the crowd about how much of a **** he was being and a chant to go up, a la 'Elton Welsby is a wanker' from the 80s

Not usually one to moan about the commentary but my goodness last night it was an embarrassment.

4 Goals in the PL in the 8 games Sterling played in PL is supposedly a bad return.

Our best defender on the night in Mangala was getting slated all night for nothing.
They even suggested Kompany's career at City has come to an end...

Just so so negative about everything. Like they honestly just expected us to blow Sevilla away.. They're a fantastic side in Europe & we're missing 3 of our spine from the team, we did well to win!

Still amazes me that "football people" don't see how Silva is our best player, only current PL managers see it as they are the ones who have to try & deal with him. All night it was "Aguero is being missed" with Silva not as important. As soon as Martinez came on to talk he immediately pointed out that Silva was the player we miss most.

We should be looking for a new sponsorship for BT square & not associate withe these fuckers.

In the first 3 minutes in they'd brought up Kompany, money, Pellegrini's losing record against Seville, 442 doesnt work.

They made much more sense after pressing the mute button.

Due to this not being on my local channel of Beinsports as they have the PSG on one and United on the other... I had to stream BT sports.

I am so glad that normally I dont have to put up with this, Danny Mills all the way through the game was negative. Every ball and every things we did was countered with something that went wrong.. even said to my friend - half the team must have shagged his other half the way he talks about us.

The classic one however was about Sterling was something like this "Sterling has not done much in this game and for city in the premier league, yes he score 3 goals at the weekend and other goals in the league playing well but he has done nothing since signing"... yes 3 goals is nothing now..

Yeah thats what i also find strange about this, if we have such close ties with them, why dont they tell their commentators to back down a little bit on the criticisms?!!

"City use their financial muscle to gag commentators. BT Sports who sponsor City Square tell their commentators to tone down criticisms of City after pressure from bosses at the PL club amid reports that City may be looking for new City Square sponsors. What price free speech in today's money fuelled Premier League?" etc etc for like ever.

The alternative is Danny Mills being a twat for 90 minutes.

You choose.

First time for ages I watched an English stream, normally I find a foreign one, much easier on the ear.

Didn't listern to the pre/post match but during the game Darke and Mills were awful.

Dark was wishing bookings on us, stating Zaba had lost his place to Sagna (obviously no prep on the game), how the Ukrainian winger should have gone to the dippers and couldn't stop going on about Seville beating barca.

Mills managed to show he has no knowledge at all, every decision he called real time he got wrong, still at least he didn't get the Fern's mixed up.

Both if them from their tone wanted Seville to win whether that was for the 'story' or not only they know.

One thing was for certain that sort of commentary never happens to any other British team in Europe.

It was awful from start to finish.
Mills ruined the game and Darke, who usually I have no issue with, was clearly just following Mills' negative lead.
They just wanted to focus early on, on silly rumours that Kompany is unhappy and could leave. 2-3 mins they talked about that nonsense.
They were then saying Zabba has had to wait for his chance this year at RB, like he had been dropped and not injured all season.
But when Mills piped up about us not missing Silva much i'd had more than enough. Unreal how poor they were.
Also not to mention Mills constantly trying to justify all Seville’s offside calls and free kicks but constantly debate all ours. Stupid bald tw@t!

I choose ITV getting the rights back hahaha

Turned the commentary off in the end cos I was so sick of listening to his warbling. This from a player who, in a 15 year career, managed to win 1 league cup. His opinion is utterly irrelevant. It's saying something when you'd rather listen to Neville !

I normally last about five or six minutes with a BT commentary. My record stands at 3'47". I watched some highlights with Glen Twaddle and ninety percent of the comments were Sevilla based. We won yer fuckin' Rag-inspired bastards. I know it sticks in yer craw, and I'm just waiting for the day it terminally chokes yer!!

I've emailed BTSport and told them that the commentary last night was upto the usual standard involving Danny Mills - abysmal!

we could win the champions league 10 times, not charge supporters an entrance fee, win the premier league 10 seasons in a row, pay our players only £10 a week and we still wouldnt get any recognition from anyone.

We are a horrible little club with no history run in completely the wrong way by owners who plow nothing back into the community of Manchester.

this is the way it will be (in my lifetime anyway) im afraid.

Didn't see the TV coverage from last night, but a few weeks back I caught Robbie Savage commentating on one of our games... not sure which one, but he was sooooo bad I turned the sound off! Now we've had to endure some shit over the past few years, but I have never felt the need to turn the sound off before, it was just that bad.

Last night was worse than the Robbie Savage commentary. Danny Mills and Ian Darke are a fucking disgrace

Boo to free speech

Meh, I don't want freeloading cunts like Danny Mills actually cheering for us.
I'm happy the media pander to their mass audience and dislike us.

I'd rather be feared/hated and so on than ignored.
At least we're on the prime sport channels ;)

Remember - it was only a few years ago when it was impossible to watch a City match on tv/online.
All our matches you had to go and watch at the ground and or watch football league highlights on SlySports

To add to my earlier list I have just remembered a couple more. Mills and Darke both saying the linesman had flagged for offside when the lad up front headed over the bar. The signal was actually for a goal kick you idiots. Mills also said Zaba had clearly handled the ball in the box. The replay showed him heading the ball away with not a hand close to the ball at all. You would think an x professional who has played at a World Cup to at least know what the assistants signals actually meant.
