Eccles of course! Just Eccles!!
I can't find anything about this but I may not have looked hard enough, if so Mods please merge/delete or whatever it is happens! :-)

Did anyone catch this programme last night? I recorded it because I like to fast forward through the bits about the quiet neighbours!! However I watched the piece about us and had to rewind and watch again!! Macmanaman was full of praise for what the Sheikh has done in the area as well as the team itself. He sounded really impressed by it. Owen talked about how good he felt our transfer window buys are and all in all it was a 'love in' for City. Hargreaves(?) also said he thought we had a good chance of winning the PL this season.

Before they started their preview of us they showed some footage of the City live event which also impressed them.

Well done BT and fair dos to the panel for being so positive about our beloved club. .

I watched it and was very impressed, much more fair and balanced about all things city than sky ever are did you hear david james say he thought the rags had wanted a bigger named manager and if it goes wrong gollum can be the fall guy! pin drop for a few seconds and jake quickly moved along

I fast forwarded through anything to do with them but I have kept the recording so will go back and listen properly later. I was just so bowled over by how balanced they were it sort of shocked me.............. isn't that a terrible admission to make? To be shocked at positiveness from the media!! I guess it's the years of negativity!

It certainly was very good to hear that all the work the club are putting in outside of the football is being noticed and appreciated.

Thought it was pretty well balanced, and made such a refreshing change from the usual garbage spouted on Sky.

Even Michael Owen sounded sane!

disagree Since playing for the rags Owen as become a right twat having his sly little digs constantly whenever he is on bt sports,he never used to be like that. But overall the channel is wiping the floor with skysports

To be fair, Jake Humphries who presented it last night also hosted the City Live event so he was unlikely to rip in to that bit if nothing else. He probably fancies the gig next summer as well!

Yes I was surprised at the even handed way the panel discussed the forthcoming season. Spoke well of City especially MacMannaman who tipped us to win the league and as a previous poster said was very full of praise of what we are doing. Comments like beyond just football and helping area regeneration shows that people are starting to understand the Project.

Must admit the best moment was the David James comment about Gollum and the stunned silence for a few seconds.

Was a quite surprised and impressed by how they talked about city wil have success this season, will have a long future and basically doing everything right, including all our summer signings. Did think Owen looked like he was talking through gritted teeth and just didn't have the balls to against the positive grain, and he did question the bookies making us and Chelsea favourites over them.

Its online now, it's just they have split it up into sections for each of the clubs. Here's our bit:

Why the surprise Blues?

Accompanied with my City tram pass for next season was a leaflet with info on the "BT" City Square.... such as directions getting to it and so on.

Now as far as I'm aware CS was not sponsored previously, so it seems BT have done a deal to sponsor City Square and as such we may now get a more favoured view on City?

It is definitely in BT's favour to not slate us anyway as we have used a presenter of theirs and have sponsorship deals in place.

Maybe this is why we have such a strong opposition from Murdoch?

Think Sky have been anti-City since we became a credible threat to their 3 favourite teams United, Liverpool and Arsenal.
Teams like us, Swansea and Southampton are disasterous for their revenues.
