BT Sport

I have an interview lined up with Simon Green tomorrow where he has agreed to discuss all of our grievances.

Let me know below any questions you want me to put to him.

Ask him:-
  1. Why when a City match is being televised do the commentators always have to mention MUFC?
  2. Added to that when an international is televised and a player drops a clanger just the players name is mentioned unless it is one of ours then you get "Manchester City's Silva" etc.
  3. Why do they always mention money in connection with City but never ever with the other big spenders.
  4. Why are our dodgy tackles repeated ad infinitum (Balotelli) but those by the likes of Bog Brush Head are just glossed over.
  5. Why are our attendances (empty seats) always brought up when others (Arsenal a prime example) are never mentioned.
  6. Why do they give scant praise for the way the Club interact with the community and also not say more about our fantastic new Football Academy facility.
There must be loads more but I expect the ones I mentioned you already have in mind, best of luck with the interview please give it to him with both barrels.

Wumming will only weaken your general stance, Frank.

Merely a bit of lighthearted banter.

On a serious note I would ask why he continues to employ people who give no deeper insight that decades old football cliches rather than genuine tactical insight into how the game is developing. Half the commentators are barely able to string a sentence together and are only really able to communicate with lad bantz over twitter. They must think were all simple

Please ask him why BT made the clear decision to portray City as a vivisectionist at an Animal Liberation Front rally, and on what planet he thought it appropriate to have an openly sulking Paul Scholes and a hostile Wio Ferdinand sniping and sneering their way through the coverage of us being the sole representatives of English football in the last 4 of the premier European competition that they paid so much money to cover

Nice to see your spider senses are still functioning.

Pablo is a bit stern so I do sense imminent danger.

I think that flyer should be covered once again and definitely the continual use of United pundits who admit they want us to lose. Which is not do bad if there continual comments were in any way impartial

Could you please open with do you feel that the coverage given to City is at the same level as that given to UTD And L F C and if not why is that ?

An excellent question Francis and possibly the first time I've ever wholeheartedly agreed with you on here.

I think you need to open the interview with that clip of Jake Humphrey (who God forbid I actually quite like as an anchor man) turning to the pundits in the studio and saying 'as hard as it is for you to praise City' and ask him if he thinks that it is acceptable to have pundits there who are openly hostile to one of the teams playing and if that is going to continue this season.

That'll get fobbed off that it was a joke by Humphrey. The fact that JH truthfully said that they couldn't say anything nice is the point to focus on.

Could you find out if it's true what @gordondaviesmoustache has been saying about Danny Mills.

On a serious note, great scoop mate. I hope he answers you honestly but have my doubts. I fear he'll use the interview to defend BT and to make out our complaints are unfounded.

That's what I am anticipating too so will frame the questions as much as possible to negate that. So for example any queries on Scholes/Ferdinand will surely be met with a reeling off of their CL experience and credentials. That to me is utterly irrelevent as there are countless other players who can offer CL 'insight' who aren't so associated with our rivals and therefore incapable of being objective.

I would ask him how many subscribers who are City fans BT have lost expressly because of the way they have covered City, especially in the Champions league. I would ask how much that has cost BT financially.

I would ask him whether he understands how fucking angry we are.

I would ask him if he has read this thread, and the others like it.

I would ask him to name one English club competing in Europe at any point since European football began in the 1950s whose treatment has been as shoddy at the hands of an English media outlet as City's treatment at the hands of BT has been.

I would ask him whether he thinks the relationship between BT and City's fans has irreparably broken down, and if not what he actually plans to do to fix it.

I would ask him who on earth actually, genuinely, really thought that Rio Ferdinand Michael Owen and Paul Scholes could possibly, conceivably, in a million years, ever offer fair and objective analysis of a City game, and if the answer is 'nobody did' why BT engage them to do so. I would ask him why nobody took any action when it became obvious that they couldn't. I would ask him why it took an entire season to work out that City fans who subscribe to BT were receiving a poor service from BT as a result.

I would ask him if he actually understands why we boo the UEFA anthem, and if he does ask him to summarise it. If he does actually know, I would ask him why none of the analysts or commentators do.

I would ask him why, after City qualified for the semi finals of the champions league one of their presenters said that we should be praised 'as hard as it is.' And if the answer is 'it was a joke because I was talking to Rio Ferdinand' why on earth BT should employ someone who finds it hard to give City praise as an analyst.

Even being associated with Utd wouldn't be the end of the world, if they were halfway competent.

Could you please ask him if the nasty snide comments by presenters are scripted or ad libbed.. One example was at half time with our away game at Dynamo Kiev when Lineker made a comment about him and the other pundits being exhausted making their way from one part of the studio to the other.. This was a direct reference to Pellegrini being unhappy about the FA cup tie away to Chelsea being played late Sunday afternoon just a few days earlier.

That saves me an evening of work ;)

Not just the use of United pundits, but also "City" pundits, who have a stronger affinity with our enemies than they do with us (McPointyman - Liverpool, Hargreaves - Rags), and also those that actively hate us (Mills). We don't necessarily need ex-City players in there, although I'd be quite happy with Lakey or the Goat, just pundits who are genuinely impartial would do

Hargreaves is ok.

I don't think that the flyer thing is something to get bogged down in. He's already said that it was an agency who did that and acknowledged the problem, and if he sticks to that, then it just requires more QC from BT.
