Bucket Collection v Boro Updated & many thanks

Re: Bucket Collection v Boro (Free Match Tickets for Helpers)

Am releasing an article about Carl this morning and mentioning that willing volunteers would be appreciated so hopefully we'll get a few more come along. I'll be there prior to the game but can't help out at half-time because I need to catch up with a mate who is on the other side of the ground to discuss Copenhagen logistics. See you tonight (as long as the roads aren't blocked!)

I'm up for it, put my name down. I know the consequences of accidents personally, if you need my phone number or anything else, PM me and I'll get back.

Paul.

wont be there tonite but defo there 2moz we need to crank this up a bit as Schalke and Carl are just distant memories (to some people)so cos I'm not there tonight i'll put my thoughts here ,get hold of the local radios tomorrow to let them know about Carl just to refresh everybodys memories and truly hammer the message out to any media that will listen. Do we have any flyers for what we are standing there for 2moz ? come on blues lets give Carl and his family the support they need !

Can't help, taking my sister to the match, but I'll rest assured do without food and drink and put some money in.

Re: Bucket Collection v Boro (Free Match Tickets for Helpers)

Just posted the following which is on Newsnow and other news wires:

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.mcfcfans.co.uk/blog/$blog/2009/02/06/manchester_city_fans_rally_round_for_carl_ramsbottom_at_the_boro_match" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.mcfcfans.co.uk/blog/$blog/20 ... boro_match</a>

Spoke to Sam Cooke in the City press office who confirmed there will be a piece in tomorrow's programme about the bucket collection as well as announcements over the PA system.

I've forwarded the above article to a good mate of mine who is a rugby commentator with Sky Sports and asked if he could forward a request to the team covering tomorrow's live game to mention Carl's story and the bucket collection. Hopefully the cameras that roam around before the game will be briefed and show the bucket collection in action as well.

Have also forwarded an e-mail to The Guardian asking them to try and give the fundraising a mention in any preview article they do on the match. I don't have good contacts at other newspapers unfortunately. Sam at City said he was going to give MEN a ring to see if they could include it in the paper.

Hopefully meet some of you tonight if car journey works out.

Cheers
Malcy
