Gianluigi Buffon wants to get away from the ongoing troubles at Juventus, with Bayern Munich and Manchester City both ready to provide some relief.

Tuttosport claims Buffon has had enough of enduring dissapointment following the Old Lady's third straight defeat, a 2-1 home loss to Roma on Saturday.

The goalkeeper is quoted as having said: "Always on the counter attack...that's enough, I cannot take it anymore," as he walked through the Stadio Olimpico tunnel after the game.

Juve are now four points off the Champions League pace, and failure to qualify for that competition could prove a further strain on the 32-year-old.

Whilst Buffon has always showed the club a strong sense of loyalty post Calciopoli, the recent slide has prompted him to change his view.

Both Bayern Munich and Manchester City are said to be tracking the goalkeeper, despite his agent Silvano Martina claiming last week that there are no plans for a move.

Well, this is a really tough decision, Buffon or Given? Buffon for me but, i wish he wanted to leave when ADUG took over :(

I have already made my thoughts on 'Shortie' Shay clear in the past.

Given can stay as the best ever number 2 but we need the best goalkeeper in the world and Buffon is arguably close to being that, and certainly closer than Shay.

Dont get me wrong I like Shay but he is weak when it comes to aerial domination - he aint no Sir Hugh Dowding.

If the story is based solely on this quote I wouldn't read too much into it. It just sounds like a spur of the moment thing that he's said because of his disappointment at losing

juve are not a happy bunch.

dunno about buffon. I tend to agree with the 'complete goalkeeper' vs 'shot-stopper' argument, but gigi has had his moments of madness too. he is 32 and has a worrying record of injuries in his back. mancio has made quite an effort with shay, who is popular and respected.

Ahh the old shout a bit about something being bollocks post, topped of with an arrogant stop talking about it comment.
