A bit of sense to one sapect of this. The police and the prison service are very experienced and very well informed when it comes to hiding people. Every bit of gossip, internet rumour, and theory you hear has been heard by them first. You can be very sure that there is no chance - none- that this individual will ever be identified again. And that is despite what you might read in the papers.

That I'm afraid is reality. The rest is just a daft game.

afraid your right. only way this guy could be found is if someone leaked info nobody else in the world previously knew. odds are VERY slim. dont see why we spend so much looking after such a sicko though, much better uses of money.

Only takes one silly **** to set a rumour off.
Yes you are right, I moved from Manchester to Stranraer several years ago and as I lived on my own with no friends, the rmour mill went wild. I was a paedo/murderer/rapist/fraudster and gay apparently-the last one was easy to laugh off-"er why would I leave one of Europes best gay scenes to come here, ffs?"
But yes, a new face in a town leads to all sorts of aspertions aand speculation.

For the record, I am none of the above

Our workplace is the best for it,they are the biggest fucking pack of old women i have ever met in my life lol!

A few years ago i was on the sick for a couple of months and the first person that greeted me when i came back said i'm sorry to hear about your divorce,i said so am I,didn't know i had been!

Why does Bulger's Mother make you feel sick?
Just does. She just has a face I don't like.

A confession.I always found her a bit unnerving.

But in a good way, in that her courage and dignity throughout those months was immense. And to carry another child through those times speaks volumes.

She has held onto that dignity too.
No tears or mass hysteria in public, just a desire to see justice done.

I just find her to be an incredibly strong person. Much like Maddie McCann's Mum.

Reading this thread has me praying for nuclear holocaust.

My mate Dazza reckons it's Jeremy Kyle who did it so I have to go now and kick him in and then I will show what a fine human being I am. Then I will read The Sun and eat a banana and then I will throw some of my shit at another man and then climb into a tree and pray for a fucking nuclear holocaust.

scowy you want to try working on the railway, i've never known so many grown men acting like schoolgirls! It's depressing. :0(

Red Bank school were Venables was held was close to were i live and i spent a lot of time playing football there against the Lags and going to open days etc there, it was very open and you could just walk in and have a look round, it had great sport facilities, even Brazil trained there during the Umbro cup in 1995 whilst staying at a Hotel 2 miles away. a lot of other teams trained there before they played Liverpool until a player hurt himself and put a claim in

Would people still think she is a strong dignified woman, if she was jobless scrote from a council estate?

Not wishing to take it off topic but this is a ....

VERY good point.

And I wonder how much the fund would have accumulated......actually, would there have been a fund?

I think we know the answer.

Not getting drawn onto that debate alex because I cannot speak for other people. All I see are the common underlying factors, that is two women who are publically stoic and relentless (despite their differences in perceived "class" and social station by outsiders), and their shared loss of a child in horrendous circumstances.

You are missing the point. Denise Bulger (as she then was) was incredibly strong and rarely showed any emotion. As Maddie's Mum was.

There is no difference between the two, other than one already knew the tragedy of her child and the other has no conclusion.

Never doubt the capacity of a woman to be strong for her children.
And never doubt the capacity of the Great British public for wanting a hate figure.

In the Bulger case it was the kids. In the McCann case it's the parents.

i REFUSE to put denise fergus and kate mcCann in the same bracket! 1 of them had their child abducted from them while out Shopping, the other chose to drink and be merry with her husband and mates, in a foreign country, while leaving their child alone in an apartment.

OH and please don't tell me about losing a child, as i stood with my brother as his daughter drew her last breath at 6 due to a bout with 2 types of cancer and the failure of her remaining kidney!

The best way is just to laugh it off mate,if you've been there long enough you know they talk about everyone behind their backs, nobody escapes.

The nutter of the factory went out at Christmas and some young lad chinned him,he ended up in hospital with his jaw wired up.He comes back to work a few weeks later and he's throwing a little paddy about everyone talking about him and making all kinds of stories up.He's 41 years old and he might as well be a 16 year old lad walking in off the street,he's learned fuck all, instead of just ignoring it he gets the piss taken out of him more for kicking up a stink FFS!

Nobody, least of all myself, is telling you about how it is to lose a child.

How do you know that I haven't had a child die?

And anyway, if a parent can show the same dignity and focus as both Denise and Kate then all is not lost. REGARDLESS of their perceived "station" in life.

I never mentioned their "Class."

You did.

To me it is irrelevant.

I made the statement as i posted something similiar on another thread, and the old well they've both lost a child barrages were pummeled at me, sorry mackenzie it wasn't aimed particularly at yourself. I'm just pointing out that, denise's and her family's character has been brought into question, while the mcCanns have not.

No problem. It is an extremely emotive subject after all.

I too wish people wouldn't jump to conclusions about the Bulger family, or listen to unfounded rumour. They were magnificent.
