Red Bull Leipzig is underdog in this season's title race. I see them emerging as new power against Bayern. Bundesliga translators are not satisfied with Bayern's monopoly and Dortmund is a selling club and not strong to resist them. So Leipzig with it's enormous financial support will be title contender i think.

That enormous financial support is not so enormous - or there aren't unlimited fonds especially as Red Bull sponsors a couple of operations.

There is more money than the usual newcomer has - but I doubt that they will stick more money in it than e.g. Volkswagen did during the best phases - and because of their relationship to Red Bull they will like Volkswagen and Leverkusen have difficulties to attract other sponsors.

Mods - any chance we lock this thread and open the other one up again? The other one has got useful information like travel tips etc. Feel free to rename it if that's the issue.

Hi Mods, would like to join that petition... thanks.

Sorry guys, I just looked for this seasons thread, as I didn't want to add to a mega thread.

Anyway, Schalke vs Bayern on right now, Bayern dominating the ball.

Kimmich looks like a talented young player. Scored in midweek for Germany and now today with Bayern. Looks like they have found their long term replacement for Lahm

Just for the national team - there he can play fullback. At Bayern he usually is midfielder - either in Alonso's role or as right 8.

It is great that he is that versatile. Guarantees him match time and is very good for his development.

That match was such a typical first match after an international break - but afterwards it is just important that it is won.

Somebody of you watched Mainz vs Hoffenheim yesterday? Mainz led 4:1 after the first half and Hoffenheim equalized at the end to a 4 vs 4. Great match to watch.

3-0 after 28 minutes, I think Mainz have their eye on Schalke's 'cup for cock ups'.

Dynamo dresden are up near the top of bundesliga 2, they have the best fans/ultras in Germany. Hope they go up.

As with several other East German sides, their supporters have somewhat of a right wing reputation.

They made a lasting impression in the pokkal when they played RB Leipzig though. Not sure how they got a severed bulls head through security!

Partly they have a great fanbase - partly they have a real problem with violence-prone Nazis. Cost the club a lot of fines etc. and the participation for the German Cup not so long ago - 2013?

Lol at Bayern, forwards will have to get off their deckchairs. Come on Ingolstadt.

Hamburg and Bremen already in deep trouble.

Hamburg lost against Leipzig and the fans organised a protest march against Red Bull prior to the match, all that while they are getting kept alive by a sugardaddy who pumps money into this sinkhole since ages. Hypocrites...

Leipzig on the other hand is unfortunately playing some impressive football.

Werder is looking horrible and they need to get rid of Skripnik rather sooner than later.

Yeah exactly...you had a tough start against Champions League caliber clubs. :)

But jokes aside: Yes you are in trouble, but to be honest I doubt you will stay at the bottom for long. You can just hope that Weinzierl gets his time to work with the team and doesnt get sacked because of the outside pressure at Schalke.

Other News: Bremen´s Skripnik got sacked a day after they got battered by Gladbach and Fürth won the oldest derby in Germany against Nürnberg.

Currently Kaiserslautern and Nürnberg are the clubs at the bottom of the Buli 2 table with Braunschweig and Stuttgart at the top (Stuttgart beat Braunschweig 2-0).

@Alex-MCFC: How are you on this wonderful day? :)

Sorry for the gloating, but the opportunities dont come often for me.

Wait until August and you can go to Schalke for 2nd Bundesliga.
as long as we can afford it ;o)))
