Bayern were very poor and the game was there for Dortmund to take. Their lack of technique and creativity killed them.

Bayern were bad, but to be fair to Pep at least he stopped Dortmund's counter attacks with his tactics, of course this meant they could not create much, but when you have Robben, Ribery, Gotze and Muller you are always likely to create at least something. Overall I think they deserved it.

The Bayern season is a brilliant one. Winning the double is a fantastic achievement, but Pep has taken the team backwards. The players are the best in the world and probably the best ever assembled. Big decisions to make for next season. Realistically they should only really buy David Luiz, but who knows what Pep will do.

Today should confirm to Dortmund that they need to spend properly. If anything today would make Reus and Hummels consider leaving this summer. I expect both will stay, but the lack of quality around them had to upset them. Jojic, Sahin, Kirch, Aubemayang and Mkhitaryan are just not good enough. Yes they were missing Gundogan and Bender, but they need more quality. Next season is their last chance. No matter how much they sell Reus and Hummels for they won't be able to replace them. Time to cut their losses with Mkhitaryan too. Sell him and bring in a proper no10 and a proper winger.

Such a poor quality cup final. Hopefully both teams take note of what needs to be done in the summer.

I did not think it was poor quality. It was a very tactical match where everybody takes care not to make much mistakes and be careful with taking risks. They usually look like this...

Yes, mistakes make a lot of goal scenes and more action.

And Bayern - was playing with their last possible players. Schweinsteiger was injured, Ribery normally should not have made more than 50 minutes, Alaba had to pass today because a muscle injury at his hip. Mandzukic suspended. Thiago already operated. Shaqiri has not played a minute since his injury. We let an 18-year-old midfielder play the right back and the right fullback on the left side. And played with 3 on the back. And Lahm got injured after 20 minutes...

And I think Höjbjerg played very good for this. This kid somewhen will get really good...

Imagine this side with Heynckes in charge! Just a thought...

Again as others have said it was a boring game, a typical Guardiola Bayern game. Højberg looks very good, with him Julien Green, Patrick Weihrauch and Mitchell Weiser, Bayern have some good youth coming through.
Dortmund were unlucky, they had the better chances and to be honest, had a goal disallowed that was in. Hummels and Sokratis had great games at the back, both were unlucky with both goals.

Not sure how the system works in Germany regarding awarding of european places but do the winners of the cup get a european place. If so seeing as both teams are chumps league does that mean fc mainz get a place in europa league?

I haven't seen the better chances with Dortmund. Müller had 2 very good chances and Robben, too. Whereas I just remember Hummels chance and that in the 120th minute of Reus that really were dangerous.

Compared to the recent matches Bayern were really great in containing the Dortmund offense. Some should really see what injury problems Bayern had yesterday - I do not mean in longtime injuries but the ones that occured short prior to the match and in it.

Hamburg stay up thanks to a 1-1 draw. They played better than the first leg, but were oh so close to losing out in the final third of the game. They have some serious work to do to avoid something similar next season. Their defence was woeful overall in the match and has been all season
