Not the best league in the world, 2nd or 3rd after PL and La Liga maybe.
You'd have the PL as the best league in the world? Seriously?
Who would you have as the top league? Only La Liga and Bundesliga come close but with Barca and Madrid completely dominating, unfair tv deals and poor attendances i would say La Liga is third best. Although the fans are immense in the Bundesliga in terms of the number of quality of teams the prem is better.

I actually hate their system. It gives football some special place in society that it doesn't deserve. It should be business for owners and players, entertainment for fans and nothing more than that. There's tons of more important areas where governing bodies should send their money rather than football.

quite right. Football is seen as a public good by large parts of fans, politicians and media in germany, not as part of an entertainment industry. That has a long history in german sport and is maybe also part of a different system of capitalism in England and Germany. I personally as a german like it, but whatever system you prefer, that difference has to be understood when you compare PL and Bundesliga.

Sorry about the delay in replying (dinner!). Depends on how you define ''best'' really. In terms of excitement and entertainment, the PL is certainly up there. But in terms of technical quality, I would go with La Liga, followed by the Bundesliga. If you would compare teams in any given league position (top, 3rd, 7th, 15th etc etc) I would take an educated guess that the majority of the better teams in those pairings would be in La Liga. And we all saw how Dortmund gave us a severe chasing on wednesday night, particularly in the second half, when they came on very strongly.

I would, us, the rags, Chlesea, Arsenal, Spurs would easily finish 3rd in La Liga.

Barca and Real can go away to the 8th place team and the game will be over after an hour, if us or Ushited go you can't gurantee a victory.

Bundesliga is really entertaining, there is a vibrancy about it you don't find in other high quality leagues. It's not the best league however, but you can see the potential that it could be down the line. If the bubble bursts in England and Spain like it did in Italy, the Bundesliga could race into the #1 spot because of the strong infrastructure many of its clubs have. For now it isn't the best but has two of the best teams in Europe. There are a lot of very good individual players there though who could do a job in the Premier League and elsewhere. I enjoy Martin Harnik from Stuttgart and think he should be at a bigger club by now.

I wouldn't like it if I am German.. I wouldn't feel OK that my taxes are paying tons of money for someone who runs on the pitch and does nothing useful for society itself.

I'm not German and it isn't my business but I don't like same stuff that happens in my country.

Every day some parents are making public appeals for people to collect money to save life of their kids hit by some disease the government doesn't want to pay for and then they give millions to sports clubs. But saving kids life doesn't bring as much votes as givinh money to sport clubs.

F**k off.. (not you of course, lol, but politicians and sportsmen).

I'm sometimes sick of those prima donnas. There is a trend on Balkan where big earning sports people have a residence address in Monte Carlo so they could avoid paying big taxes. But when they come home they are huge patriots and don't put Bosnia/Croatia/Serbia from their mouths and people having orgasms on their talk. Djokovic for example - when you hear him there's no bigger Serb in Serbian history but he pays taxes in Monte Carlo, lol. Goran Ivanisevic was same for Croatia before. I'm sure there are Bosnian ones too. Twats.

So, I'm completely for full capitalistic approach like it is in England.

if a company comes to a town and promises a new factory with new jobs , the local authorities will spend a lot of tax money on infratructure. So what is the difference? Schalke for example is one of the biggest tax payers in Gelsenkirchen and an important economic factor for the city.

Could partially agree with that. If it improves stuff in area it's located in than that's OK (like City are doing now with Manchester).

But my local experience is that it never improves anything close enough to money clubs receive from government.

One game is not an indicator of what a team would do over the course of the season. Dortmund have a better manager and tactics than us but we have the better players and therefore would probably finish higher due to more individual brilliance over the season.

Also wanted to add Arsenal took 4 out of 6 pts from Dortmund last season when they won the league and were arguably better than they are now.
