so first round can be really competitive with upsets, so conveniently the big team's game gets bumped 3 weeks till they're all match-fit.

When I talked about surprises I did not talk about Bayern! The difference between Bremer SV and Bayern is enormous. They even play lower than Bayern's second team and in the Bremen league that did not have league matches last season and this year's haven't started. The somehow managed to qualify in the regional Cup matches probably against opponents with similar conditions...

It is other teams where it is an advantage. 2nd and 3rd league already had 2 match days, Regionalliga Bayern and North East play MD 6 and 4 this weekend - but the other 3 fourth leagues haven't started...

Eligible for the German Cup are all teams from 1st and 2nd league, the first 4 of third league and the 24 winners of last years regional cup tournaments.

It is a disadvantage that Bayern goes into the Bundesliga next week without having had the possibility to test with the first team. And it was too late to schedule a decent test match.

Today - Mannheim leads 2:0 against Frankfurt with 25 minutes to go, Köln is 0:1 behind. It is still 0:0 for Wolfsburg, Hertha and Mainz...

Bayern does not have a chance. That every club is interested in signing Haaland - yes. But that Bayern will not be able to compete with the other clubs in that case is another thing. We in Germany know this. Brazzo just answered the obvious thing - Bayern will try even if at the end it will be like with de Bruyne etc.
Bayern will not pay the agent fee Raiola demands and won't be compatible with the other big clubs when it means wages.

If the top clubs are all in - like with Haaland - Bayern does not have a chance with the business philosophy Bayern has.
