Bundesliga Thread - 2023/24

Two of the Top 5 leagues having clashes between the top 2 in possible title deciders. Glad this one worked out the way I wanted.

Bayer are going to have their players and manager poached after this, being from the Italian, Spanish and English clubs if they do win the title, hopefully they won't go through same way Kaiserslautern did after their 1998 title win. That was even more amazing than Leicester.

What’s annoying is that they’re at the same time, along with Roma Inter.

That leaves Las Palmas vs Valencia and Sassuolo vs Torino as the late games.

Was watching highlights of the Dortmund match and the crowd are tossing in chocolate coins and tennis balls.
Commentator said that all Bundesliga matches will have a similar protest.
Any idea what its all about?
As mentioned by earlier poster there are some protests against new recent foreign sponsorship in the Bundesliga.

However, as mentioned tonight by the Scouse Sports commentator covering the Leverkusen vs Bayern tonight, the throwing of sweets also coincides with Karneval in the Rhine region.

I’ve just returned from Cologne for work & got caught up in this on Thursday.

Was absolute madness there with thousands all in fancy dress drinking from 10am till the next day.

All good fun & amazingly didn’t see any fights - would never happen in the UK!
