Good question. Yes before Frimpong’s new contract but now, I’m unsure. We’ve got Akanji and Stones to play the defensive side of right back, Frimpong would be the rampaging full back that Walker is trying to be this season, but with more threat.
I’ve not seen enough of his defensive play to make a full opinion on how he could be used in the biggest of games for us.
Would £130m get us Wirtz and Frimpong?
As an attacking threat, no brainier. Even before this season, been watching a bit of Leverkusen. Thing is, Kyle is pace and power and a lot more. Frimpong has pace to burn and can get back to catch anyone that’s get behind him but unlike Kyle, he won’t be able to use his body and pace to force the player to do what he wants. However, he’s young still and can only improve.
