Look into fibromyalgia as that sounds likely.there is a drug called lyrica which may help you, worth asking your GP about.

Fibromyalgia will be diagnosed by having 10/12 tender points around the body plus acute tiredness/lack of energy. There are other symptoms that some people get some others don't for instance acute sense of smell.
My wife has fibromyalgia and believe me if you have it you KNOW you have it.

Point being that you need to be referred by a gp to a consultant (usually a rheumatologist).

To me it doesn't appear to be fibromyalgia if you are only having that one symptom but you best go to the gp/consultant anyway.

I was thinking if he has ruled out everything else it is one of those things that are left.I have had FM for nearly 20yrs so best wishes to your wife

See your point. Hope you're having a "not as bad" day. BTW I think you mentioned a while ago to me about gabapentin/pregabalin in some other thread, she's tried both now and is established on the latter so thanks for the heads up!

You are very welcome :)

I'm assuming you have no visible skin rash?
Does the skin feel hot or inflamed?

I'm thinking allergy. FM also possible as is diabetes, but you would have other symptoms

If it is restricted more to the soles of your feet, you may have Grierson-Gopalan syndrome, which I've heard of but know very little about.

there is actually a burning feet syndrome, but my doc hadnt heard of it, he pretty much googled it a few years when i was in his office (same as GG syndrome)
