Burnley (3rd rd FA Cup) Post Match thread

They never stop this team. They always seem to have an answer a solution to every problem and when we need a goal numerous players can pull one out of the fire.

Just a pleasure to watch. Personally I so want to enjoy more success as a fan but more than anything else I want these players to win what they deserve.

Adam Blaize: Manchester City killing football this season. Guardiola didn’t build those teams at Barca & Bayern & he didn’t build this one.
Does that mean that jose would have failed against whomever the manager was this season? Wow, we really must be good!

We always up it in the 2nd half, it's true we were slightly below par in the first half, but we really upped it in every dept in the 2nd, with some fantastic play.

What some have to get their heads around, especially in the matchday thread is that the first 45 mins is so important in allowing us to play the way we often do in the 2nd 45.

We knacker teams out, slowly but surely, strangle the fucking life out of them and just because we are not 5-0 up after 30 mins doesn't mean we have played shite or found out etc which is what some whoppers on here actually think.

We earn the right to win games like we do.

Game changing event of the match, the games 2-1

Dyche(sp) and his bench have a pop at Pep, He ears such disrespect and whispers..lets talk on the field...Kyle, Kev get fuckin striped.

It was one of those matches

1st half: We were bad. Atrocious is perhaps too strong a word as Burnley was parking a mighty bus, but you aint going to win when creating no chances while the opposition does so against you. Especially if the opposition also makes the 0-1 around the 25th minute. The resulting mood at Bluemoon was thus predictable, not happy at all, something (logicly) had to change.
Notable players being specificly criticised besides Stones: Sergio, Gundo, Sane all poor.

2nd half: not much changes initially. More and more moans regardign Sergio, Gundo and Sane surface. And then, as if the aformentioned players really had just been mocking us and had decided they would really start the match around the 60th minute: Gorgeous pass From Gundo, Gorgeous move of Sergio, it's a goal. 2 minutes later, a practicle repeat, it's 2-1. The crowd at bluemoon is flipping out. We start attacking like piledrivers, Sane just manages to miss a Sitter oh wel Sane atleast has been poor still tonight so goes some among the crowd. But, as if he had been just toying with them aswell, you guessed it, brilliant move by Sane on a pass by Silva and it's 3-1.
The crowed is goign wild, laughs in surprise and relief. KDB, who 15 minutes earlier seemed absolutly needed to save the ship, now comes onder with fans wondering "well we could have just let him in cotton wool, is this needed?" Perhaps KDB was not needed, but was it unsurprizing that a few orgasm worthy passes later it was 4-1?

What a team! What a game, you fantastic dramatic rollercoaster of emotions. At the end we come across as really we were just toying with Burnley, giving them hope and then taking it away like it was easy all along. Brilliant.

Missed first 30 mins but we seemed to be playing fairly well just one unfortunate mistake Stones. Gündoğan with one of the best quickly taken free kicks I've seen to get back in the game, sweet finish my motm Agüero. Then a stunning back-heel Ilkay, great play Sergio to start it off, go past the keeper and finish. Fantastic counter attack, intelligent play Sané with Silva, nice footwork and finish Leroy. KDB lovely cameo, sumptuous pass to Sané, as the keeper came flying out he just squared it to Bernardo to finish with ease. At HT was a bit tricky by FT was an exhibition, classic cup comeback City.

your so right and i have felt a lot this season and that pep and city if want they could really hurt teams but hold back and there manager and coach got pep going and he said well have some of that if you like to moan

Who was the scottish bloke doing the colour commentary? He was going on about the ref allowing us to take a free kick early was why we won, right up until the end.
He was also saying something about "when we played Stoke" etc.

Think some of our fans are spoilt now. Like you've said if we're not 5-0 up by the first half, some fans start getting reckless rather than backing the team.
I've got to give Burnley credit. They actually came and attacked us rather than play anti football like them lot down the road. We worked for it in the second half and for what we deserved in the end. Next up Bristol

I had a Scottish ex-Livepool player on my commentary (not sure who but was playing for them in 88 apparently) but he was very complimentary on the whole.
