Burnley (A) Post Match Thread

Lol, the missus came in just as Burnley got that free kick at the end, moaning about summat trivial, I pointed out how important the next 2mins were in my loudest voice. Now she aint speaking, so whats worse, a messy divorce or dippers winnin the league? hard to decide at the moment. Oh well, am gonna chill with a beer and watch the scums top 4 hopes dissappear, and maybe make it up to her later.
You smoothy you

Burnley manager Sean Dyche: "I thought we had a real go and that is pleasing from a mentality point of view. We took the game on and we are not going to beat them at their game so we had to make it as awkward. We did that well.

"We came close to getting something but they have got some great players. I heard Pep Guardiola screaming 'get it in the corner' to his players.

"Even the best sides. They have to do it. Sometimes they have to do it as well and today was one of those times. I thought it was refreshing to hear a top manager scream to his players get it in the corner."

Fuck off Dyche!
Hahahha nice try douche

watching the city game is hard enough ?? but listening to the shit the people doing the commentary and the panel are coming out with is pure crap and all scouse loving twats, Souness must be on so many beater blockers and on his knees lighting candles watching the city games ??? the tongue and cheek quotes when on air but when the red light goes outs its full on scouse and everything is against liverpool and how lucky are city ????

you know what lesser teams would have given up the ghost with that's been going on this season with liverpool and salah diving and keepers helping them in the premier league ?? and clear as day handball by the burnley player ?? even the burnley players was laughing at how on earth did the referee miss that and even the lineman could see it and did nothing ??? but if salah and liverpool player fall to the ground its clear as mud stone wall pen they never miss out ???

right back to the game

city are tight in the legs and running on empty at the moment the 2 seasons and the world cup have took its toll and the pressure is getting to us, maybe we are trying to hard to score and the longer its goes the more we feel its not coming and push the panic button ??? but we don't need to panic ?? the fight for the title is ok and win or lose the tile (nobody but nobody) can question manchester city or pep for fighting to the death and we still have a FA cup final to play ???

big misses with injury to KDB and mendy ??? and fernandinho this season and will are still top of the league speaks volume of how well we play as a shape and somebody drop out in comes somebody else and the teams plays on ?? burnley was shocking and they have the magic 40 points and offered nothing but shit-house tac-ticks of unsettling us but i will take that and move on

I bet you did. It was tense but I expected it.

TBF, we never looked remotely like conceding but there was not room for error.

City really should have scored more but they like to put us through the wringer.
I had to do that game via 5live, it really wasn't very nice, you have the normal bias, but at least if you're watching it, you can see that they're talking shite, but not on the radio, and I refuse to view the match threads.

Great win, right now it doesn't really matter how we get them won.

'Fantastic for me to see Pep screaming to get the ball in corner'

Burnley manager Sean Dyche speaking to Match of the Day: "I'm really proud of the players, there could've been question marks after we were factually safe but we took the game on against a fantastic side.

"I told the players before, we can't take them on at their game so we had to make it as awkward and as uncomfortable as possible - almost like a cup tie mentality and we did that very well.

"It's fantastic for me to see Pep screaming get the ball in corner - that was pleasing for me. You have to find a way to win. We're not blessed with riches, its very difficult, but you can't get our points tally in the second half of the season without playing well so there's a pride in finding different ways to win. When you hear Pep screaming 'get it in the corner', that's quite amusing.

"Its a constant plan here. Relatively speaking it's been a fantastic season. I knew it'd be a tough start to the season - not as tough as it ended up being - but they delivered a magnificent second half of the season."
Someone needs to tell Dyche that we took it into the corner because of our position in the league and that it had nothing to do with his shit tactics and his team of cloggers. #shit****

The difference is though Sean, it's in the last few minutes when we're two games away from winning the league. You play like that for 90 minutes every week you fucking dinosaur.

Another gutsy display and we should've had a penalty, to ease the nerves. Have to laugh at a lot of posters on here,
who constantly come out with "3 1 - 0's will do" and when it happens, cannot handle it.
Difference between knowing it will do and being able to sit through watching it. The problem with watching it at 1-0 in the 88th minute is that one doesn’t know it will stay 1-0.

Zin was awful first half mate, he gave the ball away too often, improved second half.....

Not sue on the Bernado one though, I thought he was his usual piss taking self
Both him & Sane had no idea how to play together but defensively he was awful. In the second half after Sane went off he was still struggling but 20 starts 20 wins so can't be that bad overall.
