Tempting though it is, I wouldn't start him at Anfield. Have him on the bench. A sort of "in emergency, break glass" scenario. And don't bring him to Turf Moor at all. He wouldn't be ready to play any part there after only a couple of days' training.
The last time Aguero played this season after being out for a while, he was so sharp and I think he even scored a “fox in the box” type of goal. I think it was in a league cup match.

Midfielders and maybe Foden have been bailing our rather unsharp attack for quite some time now. Get Kun on the pitch for 20 - 30 mins vs Burnley and then have him start against the dippers. We can always bring him out if we need to add some steel as the game wears out.

Vs Burnley (seek to rest Gundo and Bernardo)
Ederson
Cancelo Stones Dias Zinchenko
Rodrigo
Bernardo Gundogan
Mahrez Jesus Torres
Vs Liverpool
Ederson
Cancelo Stones Dias Laporte
Fernandinho
Bernardo Gundogan
Sterling Aguero Foden

Suddenly this game has become huge for us. We beat these and the Dippers on Sunday and we are 10 points clear of them (given we win our game in hand!!

It's also big the other way, lose this or drop two points here and they'd be right on us and we never win at anfield and that game in hand isn't played till later so could totally swap it around and them getting all the momentum and we back out as chasers and no longer leaders ... that's why I said, these are more than three points, last we want is to give them any more encouragement before we play them, Sky already thinks "they're back"

I would be shocked if Aguero even makes the bench at Anfield, nevermind Burnley.

Rodri will play both games. Wouldn't be shocked to see Walker and Cancelo play at Anfield with Cancelo further up the pitch. Having no striker to mark for two centre backs with either no experience or for whom it isn't their natural position, will be a nightmare for them.

What about warm up Pre-game, foreplay must be just as important right?! Dont wanting him picking up an unnecessary preventable injury
I am sure I read somewhere that sex before adversely affects male athletes (favourably affects female athletes!). Best he is on a promise post-match!

Ederson, Cancelo, Dias, Stones, Laporte, Rodrigo, Bernardo, Foden, Sterling, Mahrez, Torres

Gundogan some rest.

0-5

Win this one and we have some valuable breathing space for the upcoming games in Feb. That's not to say that we have room to lose, but Pep can be a bit more pragmatic, dare I say, and look to not get beaten in the Liv/Spurs/Utd/Leicester games. The onus will be on the opposition to beat us by playing actual attacking football, which will suit us to a tee.

The more I think about it the more I think 2 or 3 of the starters v Liverpool will be rested for this one. I can see it being Laporte and Stones so that Dias gets his rest. Foden I think is highly likely to sit this one out. Not as many changes from our best 11 as the last one but maybe a couple. So then we’ll have rested 7 of the starting 11 v Liverpool over the two games prior.

Hopefully the bastards will be "back" on Sunday.

Back in those holes they have been hiding in for the last 3 weeks!!!!

Agree BUT if we lose or draw at Burnley then they can go top next Sunday if they win both home games this week.

Anything less than 3 points will give the dippers the opportunity to go top by beating us (assuming they beat Brighton)

want to avoid that scenario at all costs
