Agree BUT if we lose or draw at Burnley then they can go top next Sunday if they win both home games this week.
But if we win at Burnley and win at anfield we are 7 points ahead of them with a game in hand irrespective of what they do against Brighton

We made changes for Sheffield United and now have to go full strength for Burnley with a view for it getting us ready for Anfield.

Keep the winning run going and get everyone fully drilled together again, ready for us to finally beat the dippers.

I would be shocked if Aguero even makes the bench at Anfield, nevermind Burnley.

Rodri will play both games. Wouldn't be shocked to see Walker and Cancelo play at Anfield with Cancelo further up the pitch. Having no striker to mark for two centre backs with either no experience or for whom it isn't their natural position, will be a nightmare for them.
This re Kun....

What I am worried for most is Pep resting some key players for Liverpool so they're fresh ...

Well, I'm not worried for them ... I'm worried for the ones that'd come in ...

No, no, I'm not even worried for those coming in not doing a job against Burnley ...

It's them doing well now against Burnley is my issue with ...

What worries me the most is the ones who are out of form and not in Pep's plans for the weekend, but come in this mid-week and go on performing at their best, likes of Mahrez and Sterling (both of whom I'd prefer to be on the bench against Liverpool and instead Foden and Torres starting in those positions either side of Jesus). Which is exactly why Pep should rest them two mid-week ... but my worry is Mahrez or Sterling brace or a hat-trick incoming against Burnley and then how do you drop him/them against Liverpool and even if they score three against Burnley they're going to be wank against Scouse - we already know this - because we've seen this so many times over already.

These cunts were one of the “hateful eight” let’s never forget that.

Full strength.

Ederson
Cancelo Dias Stones Zinchenko
Rodri
Gundogan Foden
Bernardo Jesus Sterling

If we’re a few goals up then bring off the likes of Foden/gundogan. If we aren’t, then they play the full 90.

It’s imperative we go in to the game at anfield with as much pressure on Liverpool as possible and dropping points versus Burnley because we rested our in-form players wouldn’t help that.

Must win game , we do not want to give the Dippers the incentive of winning at Klanfield on Sunday to go top of the league , we need to keep the four point gap by winning at our six fingered friends , whatever result we get at Klanfield we need to leave thier midden still top of the league , but preferably seven points clear.

I know Raheem has always been absolute toilet when playing against Liverpool, but I do think he should start the game on Sunday, as they play with an incredibly high line (considering they have stop gap / slow centre backs) and he is our one attacker with any real pace to take advantage of any through balls. Admittedly, even if it does happen and he gets any number of one on one chances, whether he actually takes any is an entirely different matter altogether!!

But for that reason, I would play him at Burnley to hopefully get himself another goal to boost his confidence ahead of the weekend.

dyche, well they’ve spent billions and we live on peanuts I mean look at their reserves, Saved him doing his interview after the game copy and paste

While their win at Anfield was useful, Im disheartened to see Burnley crawling their way out of the relegation race so I hope we do our best to send them back down there with a big hit to their goal difference.

From the moments I did watch their game yesterday, Chelsea seemed to be able to open them up at will?

Our Indian sign over Burnley must come to an end at some point, like our losses in recent seasons at Norwich and Newcastle, but hopeful we have people such as Foden and Cancelo to create something a bit extra if things are tight.

City need 47 more points to secure the League title if the rags and dippers win all their remaining games

If they both win all theirs ... that means we lose two (to them) of our remaining 18 fixtures ... then we will need to win all 16 out of rest of 16 to get 48 points ... one draw would be 46 pts and not reach your 47 mark (which I don’t know how you’ve calculated?)

But it’s all hypothetical and basically neither of this will happen ... but if it does, it’s saying if they both win all their games, we can still win it even if lose two games to them two ... but what about their game with each other?

If United or Liverpool were to win all their games it is almost a certainty that they would win the league.
I cannot see any team going on a winning streak for the whole if the second half if the season.

See Cancelo at left back. Salah looks like he’s finding form again
