I think john is the more likely to break down given his injury record , ruby doesnt need a rest , he can play both

forget about liverpool and resting players in the burnley game ? pep has to go best 11 and win the game
then make changes once the game is won or under control ? burnley will be doing their best to kick us off the field and need the points

also the pitch will be tailored to suit them and slow and heavy and not good for passing it around fast
so city will be having to get it through midfield off the ground and the switch will offer city the best way of hurting them. so can see us trying to get down the wings and around them
 
This will be a decent test. The last two matches
(Carabao this season and the league game last season) our matches away to Burnley tend to tough, tetchy affairs. It would be great to score early and build a lead by early second half so we can rest a few but I can’t see that happen. So I expect a low scoring tricky evening. They performed well, bar their, finishing at home to united and had an excellent result against Villa.

As ever they’ll look for set pieces to unsettle us. Dyche will look at our vulnerability to long throws against Cheltenham and try that. Regardless we should have enough as long as we take our chances.
