the meaty mallet was the obvious choice again, though I gave it to Phillis. Good to see him getting back to something like his best.
Haaland, kev, phil and Alvarez all bloody great.

Hat tricks from Erling are becoming a little commonplace, and I can get quite blasé about them. Don't get me wrong, I like them, but two in a week, after I voted him MotM for the Leipzig game, I thought it was time to vote elsewhere. Hooooolihaaaaaan never stopped running, chasing, very much in the fashion of Tevez, and his goal where he put the Burnley guy on his arse was the epitome of beauty..

Kevin had a stormer but putting the ball in the net it the hardest part, therefore it has to be the Viking.

You takes your choice, Haaland or KDB.
If we don't score the difficult tap ins early doors the game is really tight after half time!
A purring KDB and defence splitting passes is a thing of destructive beauty.

Haaland was my motm, but really pushed by Foden, Kev and Alverez. That pass from Kev inside the defender for Alverezs 2nd goal (I think) was the pass of the season for me. We seem to be clicking just at the right time. CTID
The pass was incredible, the margin for error was almost non-existent.

Watched the game back on Sunday morning. Obviously Haaland got a hat trick but he's proving to be a bit of a one trick pony.
Alvarez was quality. Fantastic workrate, goals and a willingness to take a lead role.

Alvarez - never stopped running and it was great to see both him and Haaland play together.
KDB was also superb

I went for Foden, got the shit kicked out of him by the cloggers and kept getting up for more. The lad is brilliant.

I had Alvarez and Foden neck & neck for motm but I ultimately went with Foden for the reason you mention (courage in the face of adversity)
Phil must‘ve already been very sore from the kicking he got vs Leipzig and he was kicked relentlessly by a shockingly dirty Burnley.
He spent all game running the gauntlet but he just took the blows and shrugged them off.
Heroic stuff, stuff to be proud of.

Haaland was the difference at the vital time and Alvarez scored a lovely goal as well as running his backside off.
Think Lewis also quietly had an excellent game. Popped up a few times snuffing out Burnley attacks and passed well.
