Two good articles on City v Burnley today, one by Oliver Holt in the Mail and another by Jonathan Lieuw in The Guardian. Both describe the job Kompany & Craig Bellamy are doing at Burnley, the intelligence, admirable hard work and passion they're putting into it. Two good guys who gave their all for City, now doing it in a small Lancashire town on a fraction of the budget. They'll get a great welcome at the Etihad on Saturday evening, especially Vinny, yet I wish City were playing anyone else today and that this match was at Wembley in the Final (couldn't care less about who joined the "hateful eight" etc.) I think City will win 4-2 but if by any chance - and they have a small chance - VK and Bellamy are celebrating at the end I'll be just a bit glad for them.

(Let the stonings for heresy begin ...)
ABC from Holt and Leiuw, just so happens they have to support ex-City Komps & Bellers but it's always Anybody But City with them.

@AliBobbyJ it’s ok you’re in good company (no pun intended) here. Even my doctor said to me this morning ‘Well you’re in a win win situation really. If City win you’ll be over the moon. But if Burnley win you’ll still be ok because your idol won’!! (He always talks football with me at some point in our conversation!)

Plus you’ll be ok with the stoning. Just stand behind me I’ll shelter you! ;-) :-)

All this pissing around with team selection is bollocks, strongest team and fuck the international managers. Some semblance of true form has started to appear recently so don’t take a backward step.

agree completely mate, changes can be made if we get a comfortable lead but this is a home cup quarter final against a team in the championship? No fucking around, get them smashed and then chant and sing for Vinny

If we make too many changes today it could quite easily backfire, Burnley are a very good team and would hold their own in the prem with their current squad. Strongest team possible please Pep

No chance of Pep not taking this serious.
Fully expecting our best team (with exception of Otega*), get the job done.

*other than distribution, I think he’s actually a better keeper than Eddy

Ederson's distribution has been very iffy this season mate, nothing in it for me

FFS; it's "Haaland".......

People were still misspelling Aguero right into his final season here. Does my head in.
Lucky that I saw people like Somearebi and Belle play for us.

Well, sorry, you know that I respect both your posts, but I'll be absolutely gutted if we lose this one. We've put out the likes of Chelsea and Arsenal in this run, and deservedly so. As far as I'm concerned our name is on that trophy this year.
After a few days, when I've recovered a bit from the trough of losing, I'll feel good for Vin and Bellamy. Also for my good mate who has been a Clarets fan all his life (and has followed them all over the country). But not before. And even then, I'll only feel a bit consoled if they then put the rags out.
