Said already probably , not read the whole thread, Foden had a good game and plenty of good performances put in by our players. Zinchenko sees a lot of the ball so maybe thats why i notice he gives it away the most? don't know just an impression. I enjoyed it and to be honest the piped in crowd noise i thought was ok as well. We looked sharp and fit and didn't have to get out of second gear. Seems the break hasn't done us any harm. Burnley hampered by contract negotiation bollocks and a few players not available for selection - a complication of the season being extended and one of the reasons i think the 'Null & Void call was the right one for me. Several Burnley players looked to be carrying excess timber, made my wings relatively small. Thought it was a penalty , not intentional, he went for the ball, but got Serio's foot. A painful knock and it put him out of the game. Without VAR it wouldn't have been given 9 times out of 10. Souness was talking bollocks about not being a penalty because other players didn't react . They didn't react because it was difficult to spot. In days of old , it would have been a slo mo debate for the pundits on SKY or MOTD.
Talking of pundits, nice to see Micah getting a gig again but for fuck's sake man get a bigger camel haired coat. What's this fashion all about, squeezing into kid's clothes?
I feel that he should be wearing a smoking jacket and puffing on a cheroot.Eddie still likes that
Agreed, Foden is getting game time, and its just going to increase if he keeps playing the way he does and remains injury free. He's a good young player in a squad of very good/excellent players. The size of our squad and the quality of our players and of course the expense, is the agenda for most pundits and commentators. Apart from Foden going on loan, we had City don't need warm up matches pre season or during lockdown , the squad can just play against themselves , and 'Cancelo second most expensive full back of all time and the history of the World - nice to see him , a classic by Spitboy CarragherMicah, is hopeless. His opinions are totally off the mark.
Foden on loan, where would he dream that up.
Yes it was ludicrous. They said he had only four starts in the PL but that's a daft statistic. He has now played in 29 matches this season (64 in his career) and most of those appearnces have been for significant periods. He has scored twice in the CL this year. Why not discuss the game instead of continually having a sly dig at Fodens game time.

The game time thing is a media myth. Phil is just 20, four years younger than James Maddison, and almost two years younger than Mason Mount. He is being managed superbly by Pep. Souness was spot-on as usual saying he learned more by training with Liverpool stars than at any of his previous clubs.
I loved his comments in the pre-match Press Conference in reply to some daft question: "We have won eight out of the last nine (domestic) trophies we have played in. That's not bad." Total legend. How will we ever replace him?Pep you fucking legend!!! "We are very close to being too far away from 5th and we'll be playing in the champions League next year". Absolutely blatant defiance
Fucking love that guy
