I'd go back to the team/formation that we started the season with. Fernandinho sitting with Sterling KDB SIlva Nolito and Kun ahead. Would play Sane ahead of Nolito when available.

The tempo needs lifted. We make it easy to play against us. To score a goal at the minute we have to work so so hard compared to other sides against. They seem to score without doing very much.

I know we don't defend well but the attackers have to take more of the criticism in my opinion. By not creating much/not being clinical when we do create chances, the defence then becomes under more pressure. With the attacking options we have we should be blowing teams away.

is today Jesus day? better be.
How much training has he actually done with us? The Brazilian season finished on December 11th, and he was given time off after that. He spent Christmas in Brazil, and came to England yesterday. I'd say there's no chance of him appearing today. The speculation is that he MIGHT feature at West Ham or, more likely, will make his debut against Everton.

players must love us.

"get bought for £30m? go and have a holiday and don't mind that we have a Premier League to try and salvage".
"get red carded for stupid ill-discipline? no problem! go and put your feet up somewhere nice and then play like a numpty when you come back".

just ridiculous.

Don't think Nigeria qualified
Correct. Egypt qualified out of that group as group winners. And as Chad withdrew from the competition, the runners up couldn't qualify as the rules state that in any three team group, only the group winners can qualify (the spots reserved for the two best runners up wasn't open to that group).

Isn't Wiki wonderful!

He's just played a full fucking season in Brazil he's had 3 weeks rest yet u want him to come to a different country with no team training and jump straight into the side?

Nothing ridiculous about it.

What do you expect him to do then? Players are given time off at the end of the season. Why would he be different? As for us signing him and then letting him play in the Brazilian league, I'm assuming that Palmeiras demanded that as a condition of the transfer. Not ideal, but what can you do? The hierarchy and Pep must have been happy enough with the arrangement.

want to see this line-up against Burnley:

Bravo
Stones - Otemendi - Kolarov

Sterling - Garcia - KdB - Dinho - Silva

Nacho - Aguero

With Pep:s last word before the game "Impress me with your skills, show me your potential, and fight for being a part of this team !!! "

I just want 2 strikers and SPEED, but I´ll trust Pep to do an even smarter selection

You do know this Burnley side is much better than Hull or Watford who we really struggled against

I think Burnley will be a stiffer test, but it's a bit disingenuous to say we "really struggled" against Hull and Watford. They weren't vintage performances, but both ended up as comfortable wins.

Need to let Burnley have the ball for a bit, get their confidence up and then hit them on the break - like all the sodding teams do to us.

Pretty close to what I'd do except I'd have Sane instead of Nacho to give us some natural pace and width, maybe Yaya instead of Garcia.

You're right but We made hard work of both games
