A quick stat ... Pep has already managed City in more games than he ever did Bayern ... but today’s game now equals his managerial career at Barca as well.

He has now managed us for 247 competitive games, exactly the same as he ever did at Barca ...

This game on Saturday then would make City his longest managerial spell ... surpassing the no. of games he ever managed anyone else for.

Cancelo has probably been our best player this season so far, difficult to leave him out at present but he’s played a lot and is due a rest. Stones doesn’t deserve to be left out either but I suspect he and the returning Ake will play together next week. Rodri will be looking forward to his bi-annual good game against one of two hoof ball specialists in the league so he starts with Kdb and then it’s take your pick time for the third but Bernardo needs to find some consistency. Upfront Jesus deserves to retain his place, Aguero can come on as sub before starting the champions league match. Foden has to start either wide or centrally, probably wide then sterling plays despite his poor form.

Mahrez could replace one of the front 3 instead, but honestly would like to see him in this central role, similar to what Mason Mount does for Englands 343, and what KdB would be doing in the setup.

Just trying to think outside the box here, I think Mahrez is in a rut out on the RW, Pep should move him centrally and try that out, his ball retention and creative passing (when he isn't selfish) is really good.

I'm a fan,i think our players lend themselves far better to this set up,and we definitely need to find an alternative to our current system.

Swap Rodri for Gundogan and that's a quality team.
