Someone’s overdue being on the bad end of a big result at the Etihad again. Hope it’s these lot. I fancy 4/5 for us
 
I'm firmly in the camp of get the job done then bring players off early for the games to come. With that said, I'd start the same 11 as United, Napoli and Arsenal with the exception of Nunes coming in for Khusanov. Once the games in the bag then get Rodri off as a priority and then followed not long after by Foden, Haaland and Doku. Probably O'Reilly as well as the lads played a lot of minutes recently.

Get more minutes in the likes of Ake, Savio, Nico and Rico. Also a chance for Mukasa to get some league minutes.
 
If we have 80% possession means we will be trying to get through 11 players in the box with doubling trebling up on Doku so it will be hard till we get that goal and we all know we need a second one to be safe! Rather mix it up if we lose the ball don’t press get behind the ball let them have it bring it in our half then press like fuck win it back then look for Doku and Haaland

Got a feeling Pep will start Jonny Stones with Khusanov being injured and swap things round a bit. CTID
 
Hot take but I actually don't want stones back in the team. Think he was a bit ropey in those losses and Gvardiol and dias have been solid. No reason to change it right now.

Nunes got on ahead of lewis on Sunday, would expect him to start at Burnley

I love Stones, we all do and hes great player, but I felt John was too cautious with his challenges. Maybe he still has subconscious concerns and avoids going into full-blooded duels due to injuries. But it’s really important to constantly disrupt the opponent receiving the ball, etc. Stones will improve, but for now I agree—Dias and Gvardiol been better.

When people say someone is due a beating against us, it's like they're talking about City of 3 years ago when we were out playing everyone. We're not, so I'm not sure where that comes from, other than bravado.

I'll take a win and some of our players getting back to their best - it would be good to see Foden in a forward role and playing like he did against the Rags, see Rodri controlling the game, Haaland at his best (like he has been so far), having a clean sheet and no one going off injured.

It would be great to see us playing some good football as well.
