Burnley - Post Match Thread

The risk, is knackering them out physically & mentally by January & then having to patch them up for 4 months. That's the 'risk' Pellegrini has been taking with all our players & it's largely failed.
If that's the case why does Fernadhino play every game ? Surely we're risking "knackering them out physically & mentally by January" as well ?

Some of the rotation is odd, Stones particularly, 2 internationals in England, and 1 CL game v 2 internationals in South America, 2 League games, and a CL game in the same period, and not even on the bench ? Yes I know we're short at CB, but we have no real cover for Fernadhino either.

This.

Bunch of fucking rag/scouse licking arsewipes. Even interfering with the fixtures in their favour.

I can't believe the number of fucking morons in this thread moaning about the selection under the circumstances. It's as if the last two years never happened & they learned nothing.

At last we have a manager who is at least trying to see the whole picture & 'manage'.

Today was the sort of battling game which wins titles, irrespective of the names who played.

We failed to beat them at all last time they were in our league.
100 % correct

For the first time today, im also scratching my head a little at the selection and rotation and the second half that was crying out for Merlin imo but never saw him.

When he arrived we all knew he was unconventional and would make us think wtf at times so it shouldnt come as a huge surprise.

he gambled today but he won that gamble and thats all that matters as he knows what he is doing.

I thought Stones was omitted because Guardiola wanted a more physically robust defence; the same reason he probably had Fernando/Fernandinho/Toure in midfield. It gave us height and allowed us to compete in what was a predictably scrappy game.

Solid win against a team that has shocked both the dippers and the rags this year.

67 percent possession and 20 shots vs 6 isn't "ugly", it's domination against a team happy to park the bus and hoof.

Bravo had a great game and hopefully the panty-wetters will finally support the man.

Good to see Aguero net a few, let's hope it starts a scoring run.

Top of the league, third best defensive record, doing really well in the CL. Great stuff!
