Burnley - Post match thread

Are those who've been calling for Nacho to start ahead of Sergio going to do the decent thing and take their heads for a collective wobble? Nowhere near the same level. Happy with the 3 points but Mason is a grade A ****

I doubt they have the balls to wobble.

Agree Mason was shocking.

Well said mate

I can understand people posting after a poor performance and emotions are high and slagging players off. But to do it after a very good and hard fought win when every player has put 100% effort in is an embarrassment.

Expectations are beyond ridiculous from some people on here. Some posters genuinely expect to concede no chances in a full 90 mins of football and the moment we do slag off the CBs.

Getting to the point where I'm sick of it all, everything seems reminiscent of 1998/99. Everyone wants a piece of us while generally rolling over for a belly tickle against our rivals the refs are shit but we've rarely been fancied by our friends in the middle. What sickens me is the amount of top class players we get in and the second they pull on our shirt look like world retreaters (I'm looking very much at a man whose initials are NO). Guess all we can hope for is the glory end that season produced, maybe in the cl final

Brilliant display considering it was 10 men vs 12 men for most of the game, the refs are really putting it up us this season aren't they?

Stats again, 13 shots of which only 3 were on target yet we managed 2 goals from them.
What is it about hitting the target that we find so difficult ? If a player shoots at the goal then surely he thinks he can score otherwise why shoot to miss the target so often.

Great spirit from all the team though, good result.
And that ignores 3 one on one misses.

Gutsy win and up with our grittiest of the season to date.

We never do things the easy way anymore and the sending offs have to end now.

We can cope without Ferny for another 4 games but Garcia might have to get some game time now.

Clearly we are struggling and the owners and Pep are fully aware we have to ship out a lot of players in the summer and bring in younger fresher more suited to the premiership than those we will let go.

Game by game as always and we need another 3 points at Goodison Park.
