Burnley - Post match thread

that dinho's tackle might have merited a red maybe true( it was not a dangerous tackle actually) but that just does not stack up with Rojo's fine efforts recently -fuck me this inconsistency in refereeing has to stop- they just do not know the difference- the tackle of Gray on Kolarov towards the end was dangerous- he could have easily done his knee ligaments- the dinho tackle might have bruised the lad's shin but no way was that meriting a red based on recent decisions. Mason is a pillock of the first order
The refereeing is very consistent. If it's a City player and you can send them off or book them, then they 100% always do. If it's someone against City or for one of the traditional favoured teams, then the referee will only do it if they have no other choice and turn a blind eye if possible. No inconsistency at all, just blatant cheating

Special mention to that **** Mason.

I hope your legs drop off you bent ****. Missing the foul on Silva and then telling Silva to get up after everything you'd already done.... you ****.
thought silva rolling back onto the pitch was a very clever thing to do

Did you notice the city doctor telling him to wait and stopping Mason in his tracks....I wonder when it comes to injuries and players welfare whether the medical staff can overrule a ref cause mason was clearly telling them to get silva off the pitch and he was firmly stopped in his tracks by the city medical staff member and mason couldn't say a thing

Great to see the fire back in kun, but kelechi shouldn't have been taken off as he was playing well and a goal was coming.

Fernandinho can just go take the season off. Sell him in the window if we can. He's at the age where all these missed games are a big deal.

Great heart from the team, but it's sad that we are in a scrap like that at home to burnley ffs.

Are those who've been calling for Nacho to start ahead of Sergio going to do the decent thing and take their heads for a collective wobble? Nowhere near the same level. Happy with the 3 points but Mason is a grade A ****

, we beat the mighty burnley and a corrupt ref. ffs we are supposed to be a top side, we phewing over a 2nd rate side like burnley, what has happened to our club, we should be smashing teams like this out the park, 10 or 11 men, it should be 3points move onto next, sounds like the old days on here scraping past teams. rant over. Get fucking in. 3 points will do nicely

Funny how the shitheads on Sunday Supplement were calling it a two horse title race just yesterday. Cretins.

Thank God nobody got hurt (even though we should wait for the medical report?). Once again, wrestling rules in a City match. Mason and his assistants did their best, message is they'll have to try harder; good effort though...

They don't want us. Period. We might as well get used to it.

Congratulations to the team for the victory. Beat Burnley + officials. Manager and players should prepare to face similar situations in the future. They will definiteley occur again.

Manchester City have received seven red cards/bans this season, totalling 19 missed games: Fernandinho x3 Sergio Aguero x2 Nolito Bravo

I lipread it. He put his finger to his mouth (to say shut up) and then said "let me do my job".

I loved it.

Why is Lee Mason allowed to ref abny of our games? The man is a cheat.

Kelechi played like he'd just smoked a bag of weed.

Thought the red card actually helped us, in that the players had to put a shift in after that and also make the ball work as it should do. There was a collective responsibility in the second half that's been missing recently.

Great result.

I agree absolutely.

As soon as the red card was given, I said we'd win. That, together with the generally shit performance from Mason, gave the lads the impetus to dig in and scrap for each other. Hopefully we'll take this attitude and mentality into the next few games.
