Burnley - Post match thread

I was at the game so know how bad Mason was but just want to know about if it was a red or not ?
Seen em given ?
Silly tackle ?
Never a red ?

Savage and his sidekick going on about respect and how they're sick of managers treating journalists like dirt

These will be the same journalists that then go away and write lies and stage campaigns to get various managers sacked and certain players forced out of the country

Also pretty rich to talk about respect when they work for an organisation that harbours kiddy fiddlers and just this week have treated David White with about as much disrespect as could be possible

The only thing the BBC will focus on tonight is Pep's interview, it was disgraceful don't you know, how dare he speak to one of their reporters like that ?

I haven't seen the bbc one, but I did see the one for sky after the match, which sounded similar. Ridiculous questions met with very brief answers, which he is absolutely within his rights to give. Klopp was on just before and he gave longer answers but was just as 'unhelpful'.

I used to respect the BBC, but I just don't trust them anymore.

I heard the Klopp one on 5live on my way to work, and it was very similar in its tone, if more long winded. Neither of them seem to like the media that's for sure. When watching the BBC one before I set off, I said to my wife, "just tell him to f*ck off and walk away". It was just so loaded to get him to slag the referee off, and get himself into trouble, they don't deserve respect when they do that imho.

Great reaction from the team in the second half, and spot-on changes made my pep.

A well deserved win.

He was definitely taking instructions, even when we scored he stopped to listen what was being fed to him, normally a ref starts heading back to the centre circle, he stood motionless...???
WHY?????
We all noticed this. He didn't indicate the goal and appeared to be waiting or looking for something. Weird.

We are lucky he didn't book Sterling for a dive. I know it wasn't , but he could have. How the f*ck do you trip on the turf for no reason at all, apart from maybe bottle loss, in front of goal.
Why ?
Is this the first time you have seen it?
Players get tripped on the turf every time and I think he was trying to stop his run.

Of course they will. Why the hell would they want to give a new manager any credit of turning things around with only 10 men and grinding out a win. Phrrrt.

City won't win anything this season. Before the season started I had doubts about Pep. He's won in leagues that play slower football and don't have as many quality teams. He started the season with an outrageous formation, fullbacks tucking in to midfield, got rid of a perfectly decent keeper and overpaid for an overated new centre half. Take it from me now, Pep now knows that his possession game will not succeed in the Premier League and you can see that he doesnt have a plan B. As suspected, his coaching ability is now being exposed as being at a good level at best, and not the super coach everyone thought he was. He knows and it all City fans know it too. That post Burnley interview today was cringey. Halfway through the season and he's caving in already. He's even come out and said he will only coach for three years. He's counting down the days already and it's transmitting to the players. I predict that it will be a very uncomfortable 2017. You should have stuck with Mark Hughes.
I'll give you an hour.
