Looks like Vinnie has come into a club with a tradition of playing in the old-fashioned physical English style who have lost their top the best players and got them playing attractive modern football towards the top of the Championship with a virtually new team.

Early days for sure, but that is a sign that he has got some decent management skills already and if he can keep this going he will be hugely in demand. It's not like he has just motivated them, he has got them playing a style of football they haven't seen in years, if ever.

Be interested to hear what Burnley fans think of this revolution.
Don’t you think it has probably been easier for Vinnie to implement his ideas because he has lost so many of the dinosaurs that the ginger PEG had playing for him?

Go on Vinnie. To echo another posters thoughts, I don't see him as just another ex pro who's turned to management, I see him as a really intelligent guy who has listened and learned throughout his whole career and has the potential to be a top, top coach. Aside from the fact he's a blue, I view him in a totally different regard with much higher expectation levels than guys like Gerrard, Lampard, Rooney etc.

Great match today... Vinnie has them playing really good football. In the style of modern area with possesion and good team spirit. Its a mix of many new faces, 14 so far, and some old burnley players that seems to enjoy playing this brand of football. Still very early though so even if the signs are there that Burnley will be in the top of the league its still such a cruel league to play in with tons of matches coming fast. No time to relax after a good game but just to prepare for a new one. WBA on friday!

Fair point, but still managing a club with that much change and upheaval is not easy. When he took the job the general reaction on here was that he was taking a big risk and that Burnley didn't seem like the right sort of Club for him.

Every time I look at the stats from their games, it seems they always have 70+% possession. I actually think that, regardless of lots of players from the Dyche reign having left the club and Vinny starting pretty much afresh, consistently having that much possession in the Championship takes more doing than Pep and Klopp managing it at City and Liverpool. It's a bastard of a division to get out of and a much more level playing field so for him to have instilled that style of play into the team literally from game one is a fantastic effort. I'm not even sure Bielsa was regularly hitting those percentages in his first season as Leeds manager.

Of course, we know that lots of possession doesn't always win matches and Burnley have been a little toothless up front in a couple of their games so far but it looks like they've already started to overcome that with their recent results. And as difficult as that league is, teams have often managed to go on a hell of a run and gotten promoted at the end of it. I wouldn't be surprised if he manages to do that this season.

Just did something I thought I would never do. Watched the youtube highlights of the last three Burnley matches (goalfests). The only thing I can say is wow! Brilliant fast-paced pass and move football with the whole team involved. The best football they have played for decades in any division with very few long balls smashed into the channels. When Burnley start playing like this you know that Englsh football has really been transformed. Vinnie could have a huge managerial career.

He's coming home, He's coming home
When Pep hangs up his clipboard
Vinnies coming home.

Hopefully :)

Rather VK than Arteta tbh
