Am I missing something, or am I being Clarkied here? To me, that's a nailed on penalty and a red card.

Why? It hits the crossbar. Sure, his arm motions, but he doesn’t actually touch the ball - it bounces off the crossbar.

I've had a few drinks but to me it definitely looks like he punched it away.

When slowed down, I can see that it hits the bar before he touches it. But his intention was clearly to punch it away, and it was very close, so I completely get why the referee thought it hit his hand.

Yep, just seen it on ITV, when you go to punch the ball away on the line in a no-VAR game you deserve whatever you get, regardless of whether you’re successful in your attempt or not imo!

I have no sympathy for anyone that gets shot by the police and then the relatives cry that their gun wasn't loaded or was just a replica. If you don't want misunderstandings to happen don't put yourself in these positions. Same concept, different outcome, but I've had my rant!

Same here, but after seeing it from 5 different angles it bounces off the crossbar, maybe he was sent off for the intention of palming the ball away. And Zak Steffen had a mare
