Burnley Thread - 2023/24

To echo what others have said, they were seriously poor at the weekend and the keeping from Trafford for the first goal was unacceptable at this level.

To state the obvious, the key to staying up will be Kompany working out how to tighten up their defence. They can’t rely anymore on outspending everyone and individual quality from guys like Benson playing below their level

I'm now thinking it wasn't the best idea to have 3 of their back 4 and goalkeeper in my dream team :( Come on Vinny! Sort the fuckers out !!

It would bring their net spend to £120m. Bit of pressure on Vinny.

edit:

Deal off, good chunk of money missed out on but will Hall gone and Cucurella being shite, he might get his chance rotating with Chilwell.

Pretty damning that Maatsen turned down going back there

They might finish 17th I think.

For me the bottom three will be Luton, Sheff United and Wolves.

The last time the promoted sides went back down was 1997/98.

Rapidly finding out this football lark is a lot tougher when you can’t outspend everyone 10:1….
