Can any father's out there help me with this one

2am-4am this morning, baby refusing to have her bottle as she clearly needs to let out a burp, eventually she did but only after i gave up patting her on the back and put her back to her cot ... then she wanted feeding again !

my only advice mark is to get used to it. babies clearly think of the best and most innovative ways to allow you as little sleep as possible. i always found that laying them on my chest with their heads on your shoulder while you rub their backs worked best. don't worry pal, you'll get a good night's sleep again in about 6 years.

Good, but they do tend to puke on your shoulder when you do that

i never really gave a flying fuck about that at 3 in the morning. it's only when you get to work the next morning and smell of sick that it becomes a problem.

I always found with ours that sitting them on my knee, hand under there chin but keep there back dead straight worked for me! Or laid across my knees face down rubbing there back also did the trick!

good mate. just watched my eldest lad in a football tournament for school this morning. P4 W1 D2 L1 - went out in the 1st round but lost against the best team in the area. this kid for them was like zinedine bastard zidane. he scored about 20 goals in the 4 matches i saw including one from his own half and one against our lot direct from a corner. little shite needed de jong on him.

This.
Combination of patting and rubbing. Quite hard aswell. Kind of kneading with the base of the palm from the small of their back upwards. As if you were trying to get a bubble out of wallpaper!
Give them a pipette of infacol before you feed them.

Got 4 week old twins, boy and a girl. Little girl is a dream with no fuss and so easy to wind. My boy is extremely demanding to say the least and is demanding food almost every 2 hours compared to his sister who is happily going between 3/4 hours. He is also on the hungrier baby food. I wouldn't describe him as a colic baby but his wind sticks as well and sometimes you are trying to wind him for well over an hour.

Infacol, gripe water and a lot of patience is all that i can suggest mate as i know exactly what your going through.
