It's that time of year again. Bury have a Good Friday game. Almost a derby against Crewe Alex.
There is an offer again for season ticket holders of other clubs to get into this game for a tenner.
Anyone at a loose end and feel like getting down to Gigg have a look at the link. 3PM kick off. Could take the kids or have a watch before your night out.
Shakers are having a tough time of it at the minute and could use the support.

fuck them why should anybody else help them again and again when there local people do fuck all to help they dont give a shit so why should others help
bury is 1 of the richest towns in the north of england many rich people live in and round bury

even FCUM get better turn outs why dont they buy out bury fc and move in there

i hate bury football club and want my seat back from the last time they went tips up with that **** neville neville asking manchester city fans to buy a seat

Does that mean you're not going then?

Bury FC can F*ck off....

Just to quote one Bury fan...

I have been to pretty much every home game this season, however I am one of those supporters who form part of the 500 that did not turn out on tuesday. This was because of the comments which Kevin Blackwell made earlier in the week - referring to Bury fans as 'Stupid & Delusional...' Why on Earth would comments like this encourage me to go and watch my beloved Bury FC?!?

Last time I went I paid £18 for a ticket. that's with the SC discount.

Then they wanted £4 for the Sausage Roll... absolute joke considering the standard of football I watched.

Seems they are making it cheaper this season, maybe when they start treating their own fans with some respect I might have another wonder to Gigg Pain.

I didn't realise the price of the sausage roll was fixed according to what standard you were watching
If I'd known I'd have demanded a free one when I watched City play at Lincoln

Then don't go.
I made this thread to highlight a deal. Yet whenever I do some people think they need to have a bash.

FCUM got their fans from you know who. Obviously their support is bigger, although falling. Teams like Bury, Rochdale and Oldham are losing fans to the likes of us and the rags as the PL becomes bigger.
But I feel lower league clubs have a place in English football and it would be sad to see it go.
I doubt anyone forced you to buy a seat. I didn't and I like Bury.

So they have fickle fans. so do we and we're at the top of the pile currently. They miss those 500 who don't go. We wouldn't as someone would replace them.

Rochdale and Oldham have rich areas too. They are still struggling. But like I said. Don't go. Just thought I'd highlight the deal.

I don't have a problem with you highlighting the deal...

However it does seem you should be a regular member at http://www.themightyshakers.co.uk/forum than on here judging from your comments.

As for the price of the Sausage Roll comment, I was including the £18 I was charged to watch the match in that statement. £22 to watch that in total. it works out more expensive per match than my SC at City does.

Bury is my local club. The first City away game I went to was at Gigg Lane.
Many friends are Bury fans but my view is this:

Sell your club to the Devil and you'll be paid back.

They whored it to FCUM and now they suffer.

The amount of "bury" fans I'm aware of who I see on a regular basis wearing Rag shirts say's it all.

I'd rather watch Radcliffe Boro, Ramsbottom United, maybe even Heywood Casuals if their still going haha :D

Judging by what comments? I think Lower league football has a place in the English game and would be sad to see it go? Bit drastic considering my years as a blue. (I'm already signed up though ha.)

Whored it to FCUM? They need revenue streams. It helps bring in money to keep the club going. Or have we whored ourselves out to Bon Jovi et al? They did it years ago with Swinton RL club. I don't get the problem. They would suffer more if that extra income wasn't there.
