Get to the abbatoir, once you get to be a known customer the cuts of meat get better.
I get my meat from a farmer and an abbatoir, proper decent sized and quality cuts,
Gammon steaks for around £2.50, easily make 2 portions with the sheer size of them, T-bones a good inch thick that melt in your mouth.

"The Longsight Meat Market" Butchers on the front of Stockport Rd. Longsight, opposite the Bay Horse pub mate. I recommend it, I go there all the time and there's a big loading bay right outside it so no probs parking for a few mins. while you go in.
