When we were in Spain the best place was the ATM, even gave better rates than the bank clerk sat 6 foot away. Just notify your bank before you go.

With what I've just seen, I took some advice from this thread and bought a few from Sainsbury to cover me going away in a few weeks and got €1.1312

I'd have thought the markets have factored it in. Whatever anyones veiw on Brexit though I reckon by the the end of this summer since last May it will have cost me over £1000.Tomorrow could change the rate by a few cent. I'm just not sure which way.

I was reading page one of this and seeing 1.38 and thinking where the fuck are you getting that! Took me a while to realise it was 2015!
It's poor this year but not as bad as the year I got 1.04.
Not much you can do really is there.
Having said that I booked my hotel on travel republic and looked again a week later and it was £100 cheaper so rebooked it. Hotel pricing and airline pricing is a mystery to me.

I've been ready to buy for a couple of weeks but decided to go for it on Friday, judging by the so called experts online they are clueless as well. Get cash from the ATM when I get there.

Was looking at a site the other day called weswap.com
I believe they buy other people's left over currency and sell it on at a good rate, it's on a loaded cars and you can top up anytime via an app. Anyone used this?
