Caicedo

boj is a very good player, miles ahead of the others technically, but i have to believe he isnt gonna be a great centre forward, he's a second striker and will always look to drop deep and either play someone else in, or more often, shoot from distance.

caicedo is better for the team because he occupies the central defenders, and has the knack of being in the right place in the six yard area. more than that, when he gets into a dangerous position, no-one, and i mean no-one, can muscle him out of it. this thing about most of us scoring that goal is pure ignorance.

agreed. They are different types of players, giving different opyions. I dont undersant why we need one or the other. And I dont understand why a young striker with a decent goals to games ratio gets such stick! If there was a striker on another team with those kind of stats at that age we`d be saying things like `he should come play for us' etc...

I actually can't believe the amount of stick he gets. I think the amount of money we have is turning fans into spoiled brats. 12 months ago we would have been excited to say the least about the fact that we have unearthed a brand new talent - 20 years old and banging in the goals - now it's 'He's shit' or 'He's as slow as a carthorse'. It's sad to see how having money is turning peoples minds. If we didn't have the money Caicedo would be greatly appreciated rather than dubbed 'the worst player at the club' - something that has actually been said on this thread.

it's pathetic. he's a kid who loves playing for this club, is doing a very difficult job and is scoring goals. he does his best. if he is the best we've got, it's certainly not his fault every one else is crap, it's the manager who should have brought a better player. if he's not the best we've got, then it's the managers fault for playing him. somehow neither of those things have entered this debate, and people picki on the 20 year old instead of the 40sth who is really responsible for our team.
