Call me what you want, but.....

I was absolutely gutted at the way things turned out against Sunderland and have voiced my opinion as to some of the reasons.

However, whether you think I'm plain mad, unballanced or am just too passionate to give any credance to, either way, I believe the result yesterday could be a massive blessing in disguise.

I have not since the late 60's, seen a City squad with the tremendous strength in depth, along with individual brilliance and raw tallent. This team is going places, not soon, but now!

I know we've had some real rotten luck with Boateng, Kolarov and Balotelli, and that's a real shame, but I've seen players in our ranks now, that even recently, we could have only dreamed of.

Mark my words, Silva will strike up one of the Premierships finest attacking midfield roles gelling with Tevez to form an amazing double act.

Yaya will gain fitness and end up even better than Vierra was at his peak, completely dominating central midfield, and weighing in with a few great goals.

Milner will give us the grit, determination and none stop running, allied to his fantastic all round ability and become our next king colin.

Boateng and Kolorov will strike fear into opposition defences with their cavalier style attacking, whilst giving short change to the Lennons, Wallcotts, youngs and Giggs of this world, here are two full backs not afraid of puttting people into touch.

Balotelli, is not the finished article, but has so much potential I reckon he will feed like a frenzied parahna, once he gets his feet under the premiership table, watch this fucking space.

Hart is just going from strength to strength and will set us up for a real game with any team on the planet.

I am so confident about what I have seen thus far, even with the injustice of the match at the stadium of light, to say City will in my opinion, win the next ten games in all competition, I believe we are so very close to being this good.

I know many will scoff at my next suggestion, but I'm honestly being serious. I'm still holding out hope that this window we may still come up with a gigantic transfer, and sign Dzeko. If we sign Dzeko, we will win the Premier league this year, and may well still do it if he doesn't arrive until January 2011.

Tin Hat On, but couldn't give a shit tbh, bring it on CTID.
Thankyou...thats just the pick-me-up i needed. xxxxxxxxxx

It will be a blessing more than a curse that we have lost a match early on. It shows we are vulnerable, and demonstrates where we need to get things right. The number of unconverted chances has to be reduced.

And I think I'll call yer Gloria!

we;re taking that attitude aswell, although a bit to literaly for my liking

still we;ve got 2 new strikers

That's probably the only way the Hammers are likely to score this year!

Booooooo
No positive posts after a defeat, only continued clueless slaggings of the players, fans and management.
Like you , your Lordship, I have great confidence in what City will achieve this, next and every season afterwards.
What most (fans) overlook is the potential in this team.
A keeper that will without a shadow of a doubt become one of the most sought after in the football world.
A back four (with amazing back up) that will become more solid as it grows together.
A midfield that is so fluent and interchangeable that Barca will be asking us to trade down for Xavi and Iniesta (that s only tongue in cheek for the minute )
A forward line that is already feared but will only get better when Balotelli adjusts to the Prem.
Subs.
Look at that bench and find me a player that wouldn t walk into any but the triumvirate of Nited , Arsenal and Chelsea.
Now .all we need to do is go out and transfer a forum of fans that aren t as clueless and fickle as some of the half wits on here.

Love the optimism mate, and agree with a lot of your points.

The big thing for me yesterday was in the first half...there was movement, but it was obvious that the players are new to this system and to each other.

Give them time and it will click..And we will be very very good!

There are always going to be days when we do not get the rub of the green and lose. I never thought it would be an easy game, in fact I don't think there are any.

We are a big target now that everyone wants to beat. Spurs are finding the same thing and the "big" teams have been facing this for years. It is a steep learning curve and we still have a long way to go.

I still get the feeling that we will have trouble shaking off our old habits. Absolutely fantastic against Liverpool to that on Sunday. It always seems to have been like this in my 50years of watching them.

We need Balotelli and Silva to come good to add to the goal power in the team.

We are relying on Tevez too much at the moment. Looking at City's line up at Sunderland, who has got the goals in them?

AJ is a good young player, but he's not a Florent Malouda. So we need Balotelli to weigh in with a few goals. We may need to bring Adebayor into the team because we don't look like we have many goals in our game.
