Calling all Aussies

Hoping all you lot down under could solve my predicament. Im going to be in Australia for game 2 and 3 of Englands group games in the World Cup and have managed to panic myself into thinking i wont be available to see them live. So i was just wondering if the Aussie bars etc will be showing other countries games, especially Englands games as i know that they will be on at quite awkward times

The time difference between Perth and the UK is now 7hrs ahead.

Not sure where you will be for the games, if you are over in Perth then be prepared for only a couple of options, depending on the kick off times most pubs will be closed.

As for watching CITY then we get to see nearly all the games live on Foxtel (skyTv) which is great, but the time really does mess up your day especially night games on live at either 8hrs or now 7hrs ahead of UK.

Yes Cheesy, SBS which is a normal free to air channel all over Oz is showing the whole World Cup.

Not sure on kick off times, but I would think its a crap time as our time difference always makes it hard.


Where you gonna be? Sydney, Melbourne Etc??
All decent bars with a screen will show it.

+9 hours. So 3pm kickoffs are at midnight.

Darling Harbour in Sydney is one if the official FIFA live sites. So you can watch every single match on the foreshore. But there are a plethora of English focused pubs that will show the games. You'll be fine.

yeh in Sydney the fan fest will be a first for us showing the games I assume if match not on main screen then on one of the smaller but there are endless places like the casino and various pubs. A quick look at the tv schedule
has some games KO at 10:30pm, 1:00am, 5:30am (England vs USA)

Wait what? I'd say its easier to access live games through the tele here than in england.

I pay foxtel (which is like setanta) and it shows every premiere league game LIVE every week. Never miss a game. *includes fa and carling cup games too)

yeh every FAN makes sacrafices like in england you boys spend alot on going to the matches home and away( which i would love to do btw ) we aussies wake up and live for ridicoulous times like 1.55am 3.25am and so on and make our girlfriends hate us for it but if we win i usualy make it up to her
